Not bad, that's the job, it really looks like normal foam though but the noise of my boiler was quite reduced.

Does the job well, covered it with a light wt material to match the decor

not useful at all. It does not help prevent noise from ventilation system at all, even not a little! It could not stick to the wall or the door of rooms. It is only a foam, nothing else. I do hope I can ask for a refund.

Did a good job of helping to soundproof my shed.

Nice and dense but only 1" thick, I bought two and layered them to make a few-inch-thick cloud which has done the job removing some mid-low frequencies. On their own I don't believe they would really absorb much, I would even go as far as to say they would be fairly useless.
