Fantastic little tile cutter - perfect for the DIYer
This is a fantastic little cutter. Just perfect for a DIYer. I used it for fitting tiles in a refurbished kitchen. Simple to operate and does everything that you want it too well. I'm not much for writing reviews but credit where credit is due - if you're looking for an inexpensive tile cutter then this is it - just perfect.

Cutter ok but disc supplied poor on porcelain tiles
This is my second cutter already but they have completed 2 bathrooms with porcelain 600 x 300 tiles but the vitrex cutting disc supplied was not good on porcelain tiles so I had to get another porcelain tiles disc brand from Screwfix that fitted and did the job

Sturdy little saw - would buy again
I bought this a few years ago and for various reasons, I didn’t get around to using it until this year. I looked at the reviews and saw a few cautionary ones, commenting on noise, scary wobbling of the blade, etc. so I felt a bit nervous as I haven’t used a wet saw in well over a decade. Well—it’s been excellent. I’ve used it on two projects: a 20mm terrazzo backsplash and an outdoor path with 20mm Victorian granite and quarry tiles. The motor isn’t loud at all, I’ve heard much worse. The blade worked amazingly well for these heavy duty projects. My next project is a fixing a few ceramic tiles, which I’ve tested and it cuts like butter. A great price for what it does. Also, instructions are under the lid! Some people couldn’t seem to find it. And if you’re worried about the blade, double check you’ve secured it correctly.

A VERY VERSATILE TILE CUTTER
A GOOD STRONG STURDY TILE CUTTER. FILL THE WATER LEVEL TO THE RECOMMENDED HEIGHT AND AWAY YOU GO. THE TILE CUTTER IS MADE OF PLASTIC BUT IS VERY STRONG. THE TILE CUTTER CAN BE USED TO CUT STRAIGHT OR BEVELED EDGES. IT HAS AN ADJUSTABLE TABLE WHICH IS VERY EASY TO SET UP. MAKE SURE THAT WHEN CUTTING TILES THAT YOU USE THE CUTTER GARD AS IT ALS PREVENTS GETTIN A SOAKING. AFTER A DAYS TILE CUTTING IT IS ADVISABLE TO WASH OUT THE WATER TRAY AS A LOT OF SLUDGE CAN GATHER. THE CUTTER CAN EASILY BE REPLACED FROM MOST DIT OUTLETS. OVERALL A NICE BIT OF KIT.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Works well
I haven’t yet used this for thicker tiles, it does cut well using thinner ones however. All the reviews saying it’s messy are 100% correct, lm waiting for better weather and to use it outside, it’s a filthy job!The bar to keep the tile in place is so flimsy and let’s it’s performance down, as others have commented, suck a pity the manufacturer doesn’t make this stronger to be more efficient

Very flimsy
The plastic is so cheap and thin that the cutting guide bows. Not what you want when trying to cut a straight job. Just about does the job though and OK for a small one off job for a DIYer using small tiles. A warning though.. Might be a problem with tiles bigger than around 200-250mm. You get what you pay for.It just about did for me but going straight in the bin when finished.Buy with the above in mind and you should be OK

For the Price, a Marvel!
Definitely built down to a budget and one has to wonder how this got certification as safe to sell in the UK but, for the price, this little unit is a god send. The guide bar is a bit fragile and nigh on impossible to set by the scale but if you can nudge it into position by eye then it stays in place and does its job. It can be a little difficult to see where your cut has got to when cutting segments out of a tile (for fitting around sockets, for example) but take it slowly and it's fine.Cutting tiles with fine, ceramic faces can leave a very slightly jagged edge on the glaze if you go too quickly so, again, take it slowly and the results will be good.I have only used this on relatively small tiles (30x10 subway) and wonder how well it would cope with larger, thicker ones, but for my job, this has been exactly what I needed. I'd not recommend it if you are doing regular tiling jobs but if, like me, you are just doing a kitchen then this is a very worthy investment and it may even last long enough to do your bathroom too!As an example of just how useful this cutter can be, I managed, through some bad planning, to need a bunch of 7mm edge fillets of 10mm thick tiles. I didn't think this would be possible but this cutter managed it with only one broken out of six cut. An excellent showing. In summary, if you need a cutter for a small job then this is a surprisingly excellent choice.
