Everlast Slimmer Belt

Bought this item to help with my Umbilical Hernia. Terrified of operations and hospitals and will do anything to put of the inevitable although Doc holds out hopes that in the long term hernia may fix itself (yeah!). Wrap belt around myself and stuff a golf ball down onto hernia. Brilliant, works a treat. I have recently taken up "power walking", 25 mins in morning, same in evening. Always wear the belt. In just ten days have gone from 15st 3lbs to 14st 10lbs. Now we all know that nobody loses 7 lbs fat in 10 days, but a couple of pound fat and 5lbs water ???????? Maybe. Figure way way better, posture way better. Always soaking wet when I get home. In the washer for just 30 mins at 30 degrees (Celsius) on the line and done. Of the five that I have one is beginning to fray slightly on just one edge, the other four are fine. I note that other reviews mention the Velcro separating from the fabric, I have no experience of this. I highly recommend this product provided you accept that regular exercise and a fruit, veg, fish diet is the the trick, the belt helps but the belt cannot do it on its own, it needs your help !!!!!!!!!! I'm going to defend the belt here. It does work. Stop listening to everyone telling you it doesn't. I'm going to tell you why today! When you wear this belt whilst doing cardio, yes you do sweat massively and you do loose water weight BUT... A lot of people don't know that The heat generated under the belt whilst sweating, actually helps create more blood flow to that abdomen area, therefore helps with fat burn. When we loose weight through excersise your body burns fat from the easiest places first, that be the arms, chest, face ect. Those areas have more blood flow to it so you loose the fat from there quicker. Your tummy, booty area have less blood flow so visa versa, is harder to burn fat there. Especially on women. I am a mum of a one year old and I have been working out for 10 months. i have been wearing this for 2momths, and Since wearing this belt, it has helped sooo much. My tummy is shrinking. I can see for myself and it's nearly all gone! But you have to do high intensity cardio with this belt and eat right too see results. It helps with fat loss in that area but it is not magic, and will not work if your just sitting around eating cakes. Let's be real here. So Just buy the belt and try for yourself. I'm happy with my results so far and I'm going to buy another real soon. I especially like this belt Aswell as its good quality. Good luck xx

Now, 'Slimming Belts' from a physiological point of view do not work. They help improve sweating, which is water weight. So yes you lose weight, but water weight is gained instantly the next time you replace your fluids through drinking water. Belts also contracts fat molecules in the body, giving the body a slimmer look, but this is only temporary as the fat molecules expand to their previous size. THAT BEING SAID, from a psychological point of view this belt is excellent. Just by wanting to wear the belt and exercise and sweat more, I have done more workouts this week than I have ever done. So the effects from physically losing weight are only temporary, but they are confidence boosters as you see yourself thinner (temporary) and want to keep using it. So all-in-all it is definitely worth the buy of a few £'s for the confidence boost alone. Also, the belt provides excellent back support and makes you more aware of your posture and core. The belt is also made exceptionally well and I don't think you can go wrong with the price! Good buy!

This was a recommendation from an instructor. It is meant for shedding excess water on your abs, perfect for people like me who want a little more definition to already well formed abs. It will not work miracles. I have worn it to aerobics, boxing, C.V. training and weight training. It supports your back and makes you sweat hard. Do not wear it too far up your tummy. I pulled it up before some interval training. As my ribs could not expand fully, I started to struggle for air and finally gave up and I started to black out. So my advice is to wear it around the hips and tummy. You must remember to hold in your abs whilst using working out. The belt will not do this for you. It is also easy to wash and dries quickly. I guess maybe this could be used for extra back support during manual handelling or to keep your tummy warm.

Points about the belt. 1. Not much of packaging just simple cardboard package. 2. Belt is made in China. 3. Outer layer of belt is bit rough. 4. Inner layer is soft but if you have very sensitive skin then you might get rashes. 5. Everlast trademark engraved front of belt in yellow colour. 6. Along with belt there was a leaflet about 6-week workout in box. Plus points. 1. Good for keeping Posture steady. Negative point. 1. Not well built after two months regular use it's almost out of shape and Velcro grip is coming off. Overall belt is ok but Everlast need to improve belt quality.

As a personal trainer my clients ask me about similar products to this one. I think that rather than telling them what I have read and claims about the product it is more fair to try it myself. I think the belt is very good as it offers great lower back support (although not its main intention) makes you loose ALLOT of excess water around your waist and improves posture slightly during workouts by making you more aware of your core. I mix my workouts up beween mountain running and weight training and this product is the only thing that stays the same. Been using for a month now - not massive results but give it a go as I think it definately helps (along with a good diet and excercise program) I think people expect miracles with similar products but there is no substitute for hard work. This means that it wont work if you eat a takeaway, wear it to walk the dog and expect a six pack. For the price I would recommened it to anyone.

Was sceptical of product but went for it at the good price. A good sturdy product that is of high quality, Velcro is strong and feels comfortable to wear. I have been using it whilst running, and it has made me sweat bucket loads! Definately that I have lost inches on stomach and feel more toned. Obviously needs to be used alongside a exercise regime and good diet but I am sure it's working. Also useful as a back support. Would reccomed

Please be warned, this is not the same product as what was previously sold on here from way back. I bought this belt awhile back, which has seen daily use and many of washes. Due to its durability and quality, as well as the nature of my training and its use everyday, I decided to search for this and buy itagain so as to have an interchangeable one. However upon receiving it and using it once plus a wash, it started to fall apart. Unlike the previous one I bought, the threading on the velcro has collapsed immediately after 3 days. Yet the original one I bought is still in very good condition and very durable. This new weaker one seems to have white Everlast text instead of yellow text, and seems to be of much cheaper quality. So if you were expecting the same durability as the previous product, please be aware that they are not the same. I've attached photos with my old one (yellow text) and the new weaker one (white text).

Back in freshman year, I was 300+ pounds, and bought one of these to help increase my core workout. Now I am 220, and looking to slim even more, so I bought another one! This band lasted 5 years of everyday workouts before it tore, and I'm still using the tore one until this arrives! Great STURDY and well made!

Excelente cinturón, parecido al de Decathlon pero de algo más de calidad. La sudoración es buena, lo uso para salir a correr y va bien en ese aspecto, en media hora toda la zona abdominal esta igual que si me hubiesen vertido un vaso de agua, incluso tengo que tener cuidado al quitármelo y hacerlo dentro de la ducha. La única pega que le veo es que es algo rígido, pero eso es porque los materiales parecen bastante mejores.

L'avevo comprata senza molta convinzione, pensando che per il suo prezzo valesse comunque la pena provare il prodotto e devo dire che ho fatto bene! Funziona alla grande! Innanzitutto è di un materiale molto piacevole da indossare: morbido eppure in grado di dare un bel sostegno. Incredibile che riesca a tenerla su per tutto il giorno senza quasi accorgermene! Eccellente sia per il contenimento della pancia sia per il sostegno della schiena. E' un po' lunga per il mio giro-vita ma il velcro può essere attaccato in qualunque posizione e alla fine questo eccesso di lunghezza non mi disturba. Ed è anche piuttosto alta, riuscendo a coprire bene tutto l'addome. Fa sudare sul serio e questo non lo davo affatto per scontato perché io personalmente ho un livello di sudorazione vicino allo zero, anche durante l'attività sportiva (persino correndo non sudo quasi niente). Anche dopo l'uso è praticamente inodore! Soddisfattissima, la consiglio!

Jetzt finde ich mich in der Situation wieder, wo ich mal eine Lanze für ein Produkt brechen möchte, das einige nicht so gute Bewertungen erhalten hat. Gut, vielleicht hätte man das Material Neopren auch in den Titel aufnehmen können, aber niemand schreibt zum Beispiel auch Baumwoll-T-Shirt. Ein Schwitzgürtel muss aus einem geeigneten Material sein und es steht auch ganz deutlich Neopren in der Angabe. Wer nicht weiß, was Neopren ist und dass es einen eigenen Geruch hat, der sollte sich erst einmal informieren. Und nicht darauf los bestellen und hinterher herum lamentieren. Ich mag es nicht, wenn Produkte genau so sind wie angeboten und schlechte Bewertungen bekommen, weil sich die Käufer nicht ordentlich informiert haben. Zum Produkt: Der Gürtel lässt sich ordentlich dehnen, eine gewisse Spannung sollte er haben. 110 cm sind gut drin. Der Kompromiss aus Schwitzen und Atmung ist genau richtig - Neopren halt. Der stärkste Geruch verfliegt sich auch nach 10 Anwendungen, Neopren riecht halt einfach nach Neopren. Wen das stört sollte halt was anderes bestellen. Auch mit 12,95 Euro im Februar 2014 ist er preislich erschwinglich. Ansonsten hat das Produkt genau die richtige Breite um ausreichend Fläche zu bieten, aber nicht zu breit um zu stauchen oder zu stören. Durch die schwarze Farbe ist es unauffällig, normaler Weise trägt man es sowieso zum Trainieren oder allenfalls nachts. Die Flexibilität und der Klettverschluss ist sehr angenehm, stört überhaupt und drückt nicht. Fazit: Wer einen Schwitz-, Bauch- und Trainingsgürtel aus Neopren kaufen möchte, ist hier preislich bestens aufgehoben. Sensible Näschen sollten sich lieber was anderes suchen, falls es das gibt.
