Q: Does this unit support optical input (want to connect a ps4)?

Nope. I purchased this on that basis as the description says that it does only to find that upon delivery it is a mistake on the site. I contacted Amazon about this but at the time they would not change their description even though it is completely misleading?!?! Ended up returning it (all at my cost) and purchasing another instead. Don't get me wrong, PM5005 is a great amp, just doesn't do optical in.

Yes, that's how I've connected it. Headphone 3.5 jack to red and white phono plugs. They fit the rear of the amp, ie, CD, Tuner, Tape, etc. hope this helps.
