An excellent camping stove
Overall: Great product would recommend to anyone looking to go camping, or hiking. I bought this stove for when I went camping in Peak District and it was great. Boiled water pretty quickly with no issues. Stability wise I had no issues but I would recommend putting it in a slight dip in the ground to make sure it's nice and snug. Great value for money without spending a bomb, and really light and compact. Would recommend

Top marks fir price & branding.
Nice little stove. Good uses within outdoor requirements. This basic stove is lightweight , compact and has great power. Gas bottle supply is separate…. There are better yet more expensive stoves by the same brand in the same range but this lower model does the job for the price. Will also need a lighting tool.

PocketRocket2 Is A Little Belter
I chose this stove based on many other reviews here on Amazon and I am glad that I did the necessary research first for what would be my first purchase of camping gear. Excellent product which is easy to use, very lightweight and comes in its own neat, little plastic case. I have bought the gas closer to home due to the cost of delivery (perhaps it has insurance costs due to it being a gas) but no matter. As for the stove itself, it is a cleverly engineered piece of kit with the pot rests maneuvered into position by simply lifting them from the side of the PocketRocket 2 and extending them. They automatically go to the right spot so there is no fiddling about with it. All in all an excellent product at a reasonable price. It was delivered within 2 days of purchase so very pleased. Used over a 3 day break on Hadrians Wall Trail in pretty strong winds - stayed alight the whole time and boils a pan of water in about 3-4 minutes; I liked the simmer feature too - delicious chili con carne (made myself in my dehydrator).

Very good stove, well proven.
Good stove. Not as fast as you might think! I have a cheap vango stove issued by my workplace, and in windy conditions the vango stove actually takes no less time than the MSR stove to boil a pot of water which really surprised me! I bought this (and a cheap titanium pot) to replace my decade old jetboil zip and I'm really happy with it as the whole setup is slightly lighter, a fair bit smaller and alot more versatile that the jetboil. HOWEVER in windy conditions the jet boil is second to none. I have an aluminium windguard which I have to use with the MSR stove, as without it, it takes an age to boil and so much heat is lost due to the wind blowing around the flame. The windguard adds to the size and weight of the setup, which means in some cases the jetboil is actually better option. However I've stuck with the pocket rocket stove for nearly six months now and will stick with it over the summer months for wildcamping and see what I think at the end of the year. Cost-wise, a titanium pot (£25) and MSR stove (£35) comes in at £60 total. A jetboil zip comes in at between £70-95, so the MSR stove option is definitely much better value for money, especially when you could use an aluminium pot, or metal army mug for about £10 instead of the titanium pot making the whole kit half the price of the jetboil and infinitely more versatile!!

Excellent upgrade
I still have my old Pocket rocket and it's going well but showing a little wear here and there. I also have the micro rocket, but ironically it's heavier than the pocket rocket when both are in their cases. This PR2 though seems to have the best elements of both earlier versions and retains its robust build quality while providing support for a wider range of cook pots, and shaving several grams off the weight. The new case design fits easily into most mugs and pots I use outdoors. The flame is incredibly powerful, and the burner does make quite a noise, but is very adjustable to allow low simmers etc. Excellent quality for the price.

Easy to use and effective, don't forget your matches or lighter.
Backpacking with this is great. Light and fits in most cook pots along with a gas canister and a lighter. Heat a mug of water to make soup, tea or coffee within a couple of minutes.

Small, lightweight, well made. A must have for hikers and hunters who need a lightweight stove for backpack hunts and hiking.
