Absolutely brilliant
I bought this when we first got our cats in 2017. Three years later I am finally looking to replace it, and of course I'm going to get the same one again because this was one of my best purchases ever! They use it every day and none of our furniture interests them in comparison. It's a bed, a toy and a scratching post all in one. It's shared by a big tom who can (just about) squeeze through the gaps in the middle, and a smaller lady who can easily slither through when she has a toy to chase. They're both strong (especially the tom) and play vigorously so it's incredible that this has outlasted their traditional cloth scratching post even though it's used far more. The simple shape is amazingly fun, allowing them to pretend to lose toys beneath it and then fish them out melodramatically. They can glare at one another through the holes and lounge around on the top. It's big enough that they can both sleep on it without getting in one another's personal space and there are no sharp parts for them to uncover once they brutalise it, unlike the cheaper posts with wooden frames. Sometimes we change the way it's positioned to mix things up. Since the top layer of cardboard has been long shredded into oblivion, we cut it in half and turned it into two separate 'slides' which they love playing with just as much as the original shape. We put some catnip in the cardboard mesh the day we bought it but never needed to add more over time - they got used to playing with it as-is and didn't need further bribery. It's not a cheap scratching post at all, but given the amount of use they've had out of it I'd call it a bargain. Far better for them to keep coming back to the same scratcher every day and keep enjoying it than constantly buying replacements. Highly recommended!

Excellent and stylish cat scratcher/bed. Worth the price.
Thrilled with this item. We have a very large cat - he's part maine coon, very long and weighs 15lb. We've had to buy dog beds for him as cat cushions are too small, so it's hard to find cat towers that are big enough for him that aren't hideous to look at or monstrously large. I bought the lounge in dark brown and it's a wonderful item. Really well made of tightly compacted cardboard, the cat got claws stuck in straight away and it held up very well. Looks more like a modern coffee table than a piece of cat furniture and definitely looks like it costs more than the retail price. Stylish and functional, our cat loves to sleep on it as well as use it as a scratcher. We hide toys in the curve for him to play with and he loves that too. Since it arrived he has spent several hours a day perched on it or sleeping on it. Included in the parcel is a small packet of organic catnip which when rubbed on the lounge encourages use. We put the lounge in front of a chair that he had had a go at clawing and he hasn't used the chair since. All scratcher, all the time.Love the fact that it is reversible for extended use and that when it gets completely shredded we can just pop it in the recycling bin. Incredibly well thought out design and ecologically friendly!Highly recommended.

my cat loves to scratch this (but he's no lounger)
Bob the cat took to this scratcher straight away. I didn't use the cat nip because he's not a big cat nip fan anyway. But he loooves cardboard and loves to give his claws a work out on this every morning when he's just awake and doing his stretching exercises. He does not use it as a lounger. I've tried placing it in various areas (near a radiator, under the window in a sunny patch) but can't get him to stay still/relax on it. So now I actually have it propped up on one end, on a slant. After his scratching session, he uses it as a slope to climb up to sit on the window ledge.I didn't want to spend so much on a cat scratcher. But I liked the modern look of it and now that it is in my living room, I do feel it blends in with the decor - certainly a lot better than other cat items. And he uses it every day. After every meal, he goes straight over to it.It is really sturdy. You can tell it will last a long time. Good value, then. Glad I went for this one and not the bigger one which would have been too big (in my house) (for just one cat). But if I had two or more cats, I'd definitely get the other, bigger one :D*edit 2 years later* after the first year, the outside was shredded so we cut it in half to get inside and then he had 2 brand new scratchers! He still uses them every day. Perfect for climbing up to the window ledge.

An Instant Hit!
I bought this for my 3 cats after their scratching post died. I have 2 diva cats who are clever enough to scratch where they are supposed to, but my black DSH just likes to use the furniture. He also doesn't understand the concept of cat beds. The Petfusion lounger has changed all of that. I rubbed some of the supplied catnip on it but frankly, it's very large and he kept running away from it for the first hour! Next thing I know, he's stretched out on top of it, ripping hell out of it! The other 2 have enjoyed several good scratching sessions too, including when the house panther was lying on it! A 100% success, particularly for my lovely skittish panther, who's taken to it in capacity as bed and scratch post. Love it.Edit: I have since bought 3 more of the scratcher / loungers. Once each one has been annihilated I have replaced them straight away as my cats can't be without one 👍🏻2nd Edit: the most recent scratcher lasted just over a year, with 3 cats who love it so much that they were using the old one and their new one at the same time, even though the old one was in the garage waiting to be recycled. They can be turned over and used on both sides so last for ages. Worth every penny.ANOTHER EDIT: Bought the massive one which they also love, and lounge on / scratch two at a time, like actual cat bunkbeds. Seriously, these are the best things I have ever bought my cats
