UHU textile solvent free fabric glue 19ml

Brilliant, easy to use.

This glue is absolutely useless. You might as well spit on the fabrics and then hold them together. All you end up with is a mucky glue covered fabric which you then have to sew together anyway. A complete and utter waste of time.

I bought a new car and it had a small scrub tear in the lining by the seat belt which was unsightly, so before i went don the route of buying a new interior piece thought i might as well give this a shot. I applied a small amount to the tear on both the base and the backing of the tear, the glue is very fluid a bit like watery PVA glue, so i left it to set a little for a bout 15 minutes then pressed the two areas together and held them there for about 5 minutes, this provided the adhesion needed to bond the two surfaces together, i then left it for about 15 more minutes with the heat on in the car and overall the the two surfaces bonded and the glue dried clear, albeit leaving a little bit of stiffness on the surface. Overall the lasting result is perfect and has saved me the hassle of buying and fitting a new piece to my car, so i am ecstatic on the finish. Just be careful with how much you apply as it spreads really well, however if you apply too much you can wipe away with a damp cloth. Delivery was great, came the next day and saved me loads of hassle, well happy.

The UHU Textile Solvent-Free Fabric Glue, while generally decent, falls short when it comes to sticking on webbing. Unfortunately, it didn't provide the adhesive strength I expected for that specific material. Three stars for overall performance, but improvement is needed on webbing adhesion.

I searched high and low for a glue that would be suitable to stick a crochet appliqué to a cotton t shirt and I couldn’t find anything online that suggested what to use or gave positive feedback. so I brought this on a whim, thinking it would ruin the crocheted piece or ruin the tshirt and it didn’t! I put cardboard inside the tshirt, added plenty of glue on to the tshirt, extra glue on the crocheted piece (especially around the edges) made sure it was spread out well so none of the glue could seep out of the edges, put the crocheted work on top of the tshirt, put grease proof paper on top and put 3 really heavy books on top and left it for 6 hours to set/ dry and it was perfect! My son has worn the tshirt all day at school and the crochet hasn’t peeled away from the tshirt… it’s really robust! I was going to add some stitches around the edge of the appliqué but I don’t even need to. It’s really secure. Now I’m just hoping the black dye from the tshirt doesn’t run in to the white crochet appliqué when I wash it. If you’re a crocheter wanting to attach crochet to cotton T-shirts use this glue! Give yourself extra time for drying and use something heavy to keep it in place.

This product is appalling! Do not buy it. Despite following the guide to the letter it didn’t stick and has frankly ruined a brand new cubs sweatshirt. Sticking on the cubs badges should have been easy. The glue didn’t even last a single wash and has utterly ruined a brand new top. I’d quite like my son’s sweatshirt to be replaced. As you can see in the picture not one of the badges stuck and the glue left awful white marks on the top too. I’d definitely avoid this product in the future and stick to a needle and thread.

This fabric glue works, used to stick stones and other material onto fabric. As expected.

If like me your sewing isn't up to much then try this glue. I find it works best for brownies and cubs uniforms. Works OK for swim badges on towels but doesn't stick as well on towelling material. You need quite a lot for it to work plus time for it to dry (drying time is a good few hours) . It can be a little messy but nothing compared to the state of my stitching! Easy to use. And doesn't really smell just usual glue smell. No odour when dry.

ho usato questa colla per riparare un indumento cui tenevo molto, con l'applicazione di una toppa, che non si poteva cucire. Ho seguito le istruzioni (su internet perchè la confezione era in lingue dell'Est...) e mi sembra che la soluzione sia funzionale, vedremo nel tempo però.

Ordering and delivery were fine. Product itself dries on fairly transparently which is a big feature and positive. The dispensing nozzle could be smaller since when sticking down smaller areas, there is over-spill and you can see the residue after, albeit not white but still untidy. Does not work on materials containing lycra.

The product is translucent and works on plastic
