All disc sizes are available in black, additionally larger disc sizes are available in colour coded options: 10kg (green), 15kg (yellow) , 20kg (blue) and 25kg (red). This product is categorised as an "Olympic" format weight lifting product - each end of an Olympic bar is 50mm (2 inches) diameter, and olympic weights have a hole in the centre of each disc of just over 50mm (2 inches) diameter that enable it to be used on "Olympic" bars. In the UK, the other main format of weight lifting bar and weights is categorised as "Standard" - standard bars are 25.4mm (1 inch) thick, and "Standard" weights have a hole in the centre of each disc of just over 25.4mm (1 inch) thick enabling them to be used on "Standard" bars. Be careful to order the correct gauge of bar or weights.

Much Quieter
I've used cheaper cast iron plates and the quality control on them can be quite bad, some have chips in them, others have ragged edges that drag on the bar ends scraping them etc. The reason I chose these were for noise reduction, I train in a garage that is at the front of the street and on a quiet night the sound of plates clanking and smashing during deadlifts is very loud. I got some rubber floor matts and combined with these plates, it's a much more pleasant sound although my inner beast enjoyed the smashing of cast iron off the floor, my noise concerned neighbours I'm sure much prefer these plates. The central hole is well finished and smooth and the rubber grips are great for handling and also using them for other moves now I can securely hold them in my grip. I find the price reflects the quality of the product.

Good set of olympic weights
Great, significantly quieter on impact when compared to metal ones. Good grips.Also seem to be good in terms of deadlift heights, as I had some substandard metal ones that were overall slightly smaller despite weighing the same, which puts off your deadlifting form if you're used to a different height. Would recommend buying these even if the rest of the plates are metal as ultimately this is likely to be the only set in contact with the floor.

Decent product but cannot get rid of the toxic chemical ...
Decent product but cannot get rid of the toxic chemical smell after weeks now. Washed with soap and water even left outside for a while!?

Denser and shorter than standard. Decent quality
Pretty good and good value. Build quality is not quite commercial level. Very dense and come up wider but shorter than a standard Olympic plate which makes loading a bar on the floor easier.

Bodymax are excellent
These are good weight plates, well coated and quiet because of it. Use these almost everyday, easy enough to get on and off and pretty soon will be getting more.
