Neutral Density Filter
This is an excellent product and I much prefer it to the multiple type filters that drop in front of the lens.It is good quality and works very well

A very useful addition to the camera bag
The image of the waterfall is one I took while trying this out on holiday recently. EOS600D and 24-105f4L.The great advantage of this is the variable ND effect, though so far I've only really used it at its near darkest. The camera metering still works and the exposures are right on with no evident colour distortions or optical distortions. You do need to choose the scene and ambient lighting. Even cloudy daylight can still be too bright for a really long exposure and effects like waves and surf can look a bit messy - to my eyes at least. The only issue I can think of is if you need an 82mm lens hood which aren't that easy to find, but otherwise a great piece of kit that works from the box and produces great images. One review elsewhere does moan about the black cross that appears across the middle of the image, but that is at a setting beyond the indicated maximum and is pointed out in the instructions for this fader so it can be avoided.

Crafting the light with a ND Fader
I bought this for my partner who wanted to experiment with ICM and long exposures in a creative way. Amazon had a delivery date for Monday but it arrived the next day, so definitely impressed with Teamwork Digital. The filter came in a neat plastic case and was also bundled with an 82mm lens cap (see photo). It would have been nice if you could attach the lens cap and store it with the filter in the case. That would have been the icing on the cake.

the best fader nd on the market
Im extremely happy with this one. When using it there is no visible image quality degradation, vignetting or other negative effects. Im using it on canon 5d mark 2 with 50mm prime lens. Have in mind that using it with long zoom lenses will result in dark cross in the middle of your pictures. It is written in product description as well.

Great product for the cost.
An ideal addition to my kit bag as I do a lot of travelling and this fader gives me flexibility. Yes, as with all variable polariser filters it suffers from the black cross at extreme settings but I can easily work around this. The filter is very well made and the glass is good quality.

Yes it softens
Have used (in fact stopped using) one of these. It's the MKII I have incidnetally, so don't think they sorted it out in the second incarnation. Anyway as others have pointed out it will significantly soften your image as you wind it in. I also use a 62mm Light Craft variable ND and that works just fine. So I don't know what went wrong with the larger version.
