Monument MON2600 2600k Copper Pipe Bender 15mm 22mm

I chose to avoid both the cheaper and the priciest brands. There are some very expensive benders by a name very well-known in the trade, beginning with R and ending with what sounds like a hot dog but is surely a mountaineer, and there are also, I think (judging by some dubious reviews), some FAKE R-brand benders being sold online. Having avoided all these I bought the MONUMENT bender, and am very glad I did. At almost eighty years of age I can only just bend a 22mm pipe unaided, so I have used extension pipes on the arms of the Monument bender to increase leverage, with total success and without distorting the arms of the bender itself. The MONUMENT bender is clearly designed to be more than strong enough, not designed down to a price (but as a result of skimpy manufacture very soon useless, as some cheap makes surely are). The movement of the MONUMENT bender is very firm, without play, but also smooth. Neither is the Monument bender inferior to the more expensive machines on offer. It is clear that no matter what the price of competitors they cannot be better in design or function. The bends produced by the Monument bender are smooth, and free of ripples and side-ridges. (I suspect that one reviewer who said it flattened his 22mm pipe forgot to put the SLIDING GUIDE into place. OF COURSE any bender will squash the pipe if the slide is left out and the roller alone therefore applies only a line of pressure to the pipe.) There is no reason to pay more than the £57 I paid for the Monument bender. (I see that the price is now greater, but it is well worth that extra.) It is not designed to be clamped into a vice, but it is possible, with care, to clamp it. I have done so, even using a very poor clamping device - a Black and Decker Workmate - and a bit of ingenuity could soon devise an adapter to suit the Monument bender and so fix it very firmly in a normal bench vice for long-term use. The usual angle indicators are permanently moulded into the curved segments, so an accurate angle of curve is always possible. The MONUMENT pipe bender is a very wise choice. Take no notice of adverse reviews, which seem to be based on amateur or unskilled users' opinions. I recommend the MONUMENT bender very highly (and I have no shares in Monument and nothing to gain; you can trust my integrity). Eric Franklin

First time to take on a plumbing job that involved allot of copper bends and this worked great for 15mm and 22mm pipe making nice smooth bends. It's tough work bending 22mm pipe but not fault of bender.

There are many pipe benders that look like this which leave creases down the side of the pipe and ripples on the inside of the bend. Some people blame the pipe but it is the design of the bender. The Monument one may cost a lot more than many benders but it is an excellent tool and produces clean bends in both 15mm and 22mm so is well worth the money.

Feels well made compared to my last one. Used it on 2 installations now. I like the smooth kink free bends it produces on both 15 & 22.

Excellent benders Great leverage on 22mm and a clean bend always. Ordered to ireland from the uk and was worried about copper sizing but no issues at all. Very happy with purchase.

The best benders I have ever used. You have tried the rest now try the best. Done loads of bends with them 22mm and 15mm and no ripples ever. Amazing product

Bought two other pipe benders before this one because it had to ship from the U.K. and shipping was nearly $50 but the YouTube videos showed copper pipe bends. I don't know how what I was did was different but the result was a sudden fracture upon the application of incremental force and moment arm. Very disappointed, VERY DISAPPOINTED.
