A good branded lightstrip but beware Homekit incompatibility.
Bought alonside the slightly more expensive Hue version. Both used on a Hue hub.The colour range doesn't seem quite as good as the Hue, but there are more LEDs so the illumination is more even and perhaps brighter (i've not measured).Unfortunately, even when used on a hue hub, which works with Apple homekit, this light will not.If you ask siri to turn up the room this is in, all the other lights go on but this one doesn't. Siri tells you one of the lights isn't responding. This light does however work with my Amazon Echo in the same setup.

Lightify Gateway and Wemolink
This item can be paired with the Lightify gateway or the Wemolink.Worked straight out the box-no problems integrating it into my existing Weno setup

"The connected future of light" (I hope not or it's going to be a very dark and frustrating future)
Everything in the box is really nice quality. The LED strip can be cut to your required length and has an adhesive backing so you can stick it where you like. There is no on/off switch so without the app you can only unplug it to switch it off (surely this is a step backwards?) and have no control over the light's parameters. The power supply plug is huge by modern standards (definitely a step backwards). Unfortunately my initial delight disintegrated once I tried to use the app. You are forced to set up an account (surely this is a step backwards?) but I wasn't even able to do this, receiving repeated "email already in use" warnings despite trying several of my different email addresses. The app reviews on the playstore are mostly "terrible" indicating that my problem isn't an isolated one. Shame that Osram didn't spend as much on R&D as they did on marketing. Avoid at all costs.Update: So I managed to get around the above problem to then be dogged by repeated region-related app errors. The app is obviously designed by people in need of a little more training, so sadly I sent the lights back for a refund.
