Robocop Trilogy [Remastered]

Love this movie and had the box set but disc was missing so replaced it. Good value.

Note that this is the original movie, plus Robocop 2 and 3, not the mediocre remake. All three of these movies are great but i think the second one is the best, followed by the first and then the third. Some good humour in there too, especially the spoof TV shows and advertisements. Great retro action, script and story from a time when writers still had original ideas, instead of doing endless remakes.

A Classic.

I finally got around to buying this to replace my trusty old Criterion DVD that I've watched many many times, and I'm glad I did - the first film is a true classic and the transfer does it justice, it looks and sounds wonderful and there's some great extras on there too, some of which I've seen before but others are new to me.It's diminishing returns for the 2nd and 3rd films in the series, which are presented here a bare-bones disks with adequate transfers and only trailers as special features (if you are a fan then far better remastered releases are available elsewhere) - I wasn't too upset about this as I am unlikely to watch them too many times. However maybe I've mellowed with age as when I did watch them in this set I enjoyed them a lot more than I remembered - even Robocop 3, which certainly isn't a great film, still had it's moments and wasn't as catastrophically bad as I remembered it being. It's still a million miles from the greatness of the first one though. I wasn't concerned about the lack of extras for the sequels - I'm sure the wonderful looking forthcoming documentary Robodoc will more than cover all my making-of needs anyway.In conclusion then even if you are only interested in the first film this is still a bit of a bargain for the price - a cracking transfer means it's never looked better and there's loads of special features to keep you busy, plus you get the 2 sequels chucked in as a (sort-of) bonus.

1st robocop film is always going to be the best ,yes there is extras on this disk ,this is the theatrical version only on here ,the most interesting extra i like is ‘flesh & steel’ ,the making of robocop ,this is 35mins 55 seconds long ,there are other extras on the 1st disk ,but the other 2 film's only have trailers as extras ,the following 2nd & 3rd film’s to me are always great to watch anytime ,all play & sound great & are also a great transfer to Blu-ray.

Loads of shooting and shouting, but beneath it all, there’s an interesting premise about law and order, violence and the role of government in using robots for control purposes. Be interesting to see what the worlds like 100 years hence: robotic police seem entirely plausible.Three films in this set, I bought used for buttons, so excellent value and entertains enough to watch more than once. Great value set.

I grabbed this to replace the DVD copies that I had of Robocop 1 and 2 (the latter I had to import from Japan in order to get the multi-channel audio soundtrack). Anyway, it's a great transfer, and I thought that the audio qualities on Robocop 2 were particularly good. Just avoid watching the lame duck Robocop 3, because (a) Peter Weller doesn't play Robocop and (b) the storyline is dire. Worth the buy for 1 & 2 alone. Recommended.

got to say nice to see the first movie being made in to hd this time as last one was a flop and fox new it as well . its the dc cut that is so much better then the stander cut , also number 2 is uncut and 3 as well . the sound is good but could have been much more

Über die Robocop-Filme wurde ja im Prinzip schon alles mögliche gesagt, es kann ja jeder entsprechende Reviews zu den Filmen im Netz auftreiben, OFDB und Co. sind sehr hilfreich. ich möchte auf den Inhalt der hier angebotenen als UK-Import erhältlichen DVD-Box eingehen, da es bisher keine vernünftigen Informationen darüber gibt, was den geneigten Käufer hier erwartet:Robocop 1Auf der Disc ist nur der Englische Ton enthalten, Untertitel liegen in Englisch und einigen anderen Sprachen vor, die DVD ist identisch mit der britischen Variante der Special Edition aus dem Jahr 2003 von MGM. Als Bonus gibt es noch ein paar Dokumentationen, Deleted Scenes und einen Audiokommentar.Robocop 2+3Diese beiden Discs sind in Großbritannien und auf dem europäischem Festland identisch, es sind Tonspuren in Deutsch, Englisch Französisch, Spanisch und Italienisch enthalten, sowie die entsprechenden Untertitelspuren und ein Trailer. Auch diese Discs wurden erstmals um 2003/2004 veröffentlicht.Im großen und ganzen ein Repack älterer Veröffentlichungen, aber für den Preis solide.

First is the best, second is underrated, third is pretty cool. I love all 3 Robocop movies, they each have amazing moments and effects, even the 3rd one.

non potevo non acquistare questo film, l'ho sempre adorato ed è fatto molto bene per i mezzi a disposizione all'epocatrilogia, ma solo i primi due meritano, il terzo non è granchè
