These are really good and have cured my weeks of itching in about 3 days. I only used one a day for 3 days and they are completely gone and no more periods from my butt :-) It is not nice to have bleeding haemorrhoids and the itching can send anyone mental, so these things were for me a godsend. These Germoloids suppositories offer a slightly different formulation than the other market leading brand, Anusol and are worth a try as well. I found that the Germoloids versions are smaller and have a slippy coating which obviously makes insertion easier. They also contain lidocaine hydrochloride which is a mild local anaesthetic. However, I didn't notice too much difference between the brands for efficacy although I found that the Germoloids suppositories tend to break up easier during insertion and make a mess. Please read on for some practical advice on how I got rid of my piles permanently. After having never suffered haemorrhoids (piles) in my life up to summer 2019, I 'suddenly' had problems. Approaching 50, the first signs of significant quantities of blood in my stools caused absolute panic thinking this is it, bowel cancer, time to get my affairs in order. Thankfully, this was not the case. I had developed piles. Never had I been so grateful to realise this. They persisted for about 8-9 months and none of the market leading suppositories I tried had much of an effect until I realised what caused them in the first place. I was not drinking enough fluids so my stools (poo) was not loose enough. My work pattern had changed from shifts to days in Spring 2019 and I was drinking too many diuretic beverages, i.e. strong coffee and tea and not keeping properly hydrated. I took steps to deal with this immediately the penny dropped: I started drinking a mixture of Californian prune juice, tomato juice for breakfast and at least 1 litre of water in the morning and afternoon. Result, piles gone in around four to six weeks. That said, these suppositories were a relief and once you have overcome the stigma of inserting them up your anal passage after going to the lavatory, you get used to it. Please heed my dietary advice if you're suffering. Prune juice isn't the most pleasant thing, but it really helps loosen your stools to the extent that you won't have to strain and thus put pressure on the blood vessels in your bowel.

I'm pregnant and this was a life saver, even after just 2 days. 🙏😭 Very sketched out to use any of the hemorrhoid treatments with steroids in them, so this was a good choice. I've only been using these and witch hazel to help get some relief and after just 2 days, I'm almost back to normal. I can't believe how fast of a solution these were.

These suppositories do give me relief from hemorrhoid pain. I have severe hemorrhoids and was looking for something to help with that pain. These do help.

I think these definitely work better than other name brands. I would highly recommend this product.
