7 years ago ( aged 45) I had a DVT after flying, which caused a huge stroke. Since then, and following medical advice, I have worn flight socks whenever I have flown and have always found them extremely uncomfortable. I am not overly large ( UK size 12/14) but am tall and have long legs and found that every flight sock I tried was too short and dug into my calves. They also wrinkled painfully round my ankles and if worn for long haul flights caused much swelling. I tried these socks for the first time recently, for a 12 hour flight and found them infinitely superior and much more comfortable than previous socks I have tried. They are thicker and more resilient and I found them much easier to put on. After removing them I had no swelling at all of my lower legs, which is the first time since I started having to wear them. They wash well and I think will last well. A brilliant product and I will definitely buy again. Recommended.

Suffering from swollen feet/ankles and calf pain after playing too much tennis on a hard asphalt surface. I have been using the graduated compression socks when not playing tennis and have found that they have helped with all of my symptoms. I may even try wearing them when playing tennis.They are quite difficult to get on but I have found that the effort is worthwhile. My legs are not large and I found that the L-XL size is about the right size; tight/supportive but not too small or large. My shoe size is 43-44 and if I had chosen the next size up I think that the foot would have been too large and therefore uncomfortable.I will certainly wear the socks on a flight and would recommend them for everyday use. Very happy with the quality and results.

Although these socks were a bit of a challenge to get on, I felt the benefit almost immediately. My legs felt very supported and the discomfort I’d been experiencing in my lower legs eased. I’ve worn them to the gym and I was able to work out for longer without my legs getting tired. The slight downside for me is that the foot is a bit too long and if I don’t smooth the sock on carefully they can bunch up around the toes which can be uncomfortable as the day goes on. On balance these were good value for money and I am very happy with my purchase.

Bought two pairs for me and hubby as were heading off on a long haul flight of nearly 15 hours.Felt good quality as soon as we took them out of their boxes. They had plenty of stretch without being baggy, were easy to put on and stayed put.I have reasonably long legs and my hubby has very large calves but both pairs of socks went up to just under the knee (this may be an issue if you're on the less tall chart :-) )Most importantly, we left both the outbound and inbound flights without swollen legs/ankles or any tightness - would defeintely recommend for long haul usage!

Very happy with the compression socks. I’d ordered them for a long haul flight to Australia later this summer but tried them out today as a passenger on a 6 hour car journey - they worked a treat! Great product at a great price! Have only given four stars for working out and durability as I have only just received them and used them only once so far but I would expect them to perform well. The material seems very strong and the socks well made and I will definitely be ordering another pair. Do follow the measurement guide and order on calf measurements and not shoe size.

Great socks. Comfortable with excellent compression. I'm a nurse, working 12 hour shifts and these give me great comfort and even, effective compression. They're well made and packaged.However I've given only 3 stars because of the sizing. I have quite large calves and size 7 feet. The L/XL size states it fits shoe sizes 5.5-mens 11, and so naturally the toe seam is about an inch longer than my actual foot. It'd be ideal if they had a mid range size.I'd still recommend them for the compression, support and comfort offered.

I bought the product as I have a long distance flight soon and have had problems in the past. The socks arrived early and are a great fit. The quality is obvious the first time you put them on. I also do a lot of hill walking and I wore them to see if they might help with soreness and fatigue. The effect was amazing and I am very happy with the results. So much so that I will probably purchase another pair just for walking.

I found these compression socks very comfortable, I think I perhaps could have bought the smaller size. They were worn for 18 hours when I was on my feet a lot of the time, and performed well, much better than some I have paid much more for. The 'give' is gently effective, they have washed well (only once as I've only worn them once} but looked as new and dried quite quickly. Highly likely that I will have more.
