Astounding quality
I'm actually a little speechless, these strings are perfect for metal, rock, blues, jazz, anything. They sound bright, even after 6 months. (I'll be buying more soon, don't worry.) They feel very strong, though relenting on your skin. As someone who plays finger-style, I can't recommend these enough. I personally prefer these over Ernie Ball and D'Addario - the only breaker in this deal is the price. If you're touring and need to change strings every fortnight, (or weekly! ...shudder), the price will become hefty. For the studio? Worth every penny.

wow bright n zingy!
They say strings make a big difference to your tone, and TBH I was a bit sceptical until I tried these. These have brought my Fender Jazz to life ( I was even thinking of getting rid of it!). Very crisp when new, have slightly mellowed after a few gigs and rehersals but still clangy enough to slap with (if that's your thing). Lovely loose tension which I like and nice on the fingers, highly recommended, not the cheapest strings out there but you get what you pay for, quality.

Bright and sharp
Just a slight hold up as came from Germany but a good price to compensate

Best
Been playing 14 years and I'm kicking myself for not trying them earlier. Put them on my Dingwall, perfect tone!!

Four Stars
Great strings. Nice balanced sound. Not as bright sounding as I was expecting.

The best for C Standard
THE best string for down tuning. I use the lower 4 strings for playing in C Standard on a Rickenbacker 4003 and they last a good year before going dead. Pricey, but worth it

Worth every penny.
Great set of strings and worth every penny, really brought my Epi Thunderbird iv To life and was glad I followed the advice on b player forum to invest in a set, very bright sound and work well for pick play but also do the job for finger plucking or slap.

My go-to Bass Strings
I've been using DR strings for many years now. Not just the Hi-Beams.If you're looking for a bright tone with plenty of body, these are a good option. They are stainless steel, so your fingers will feel the difference if you're coming from nickel strings. In other words, they are harder. But this also makes them last longer and sound brighter for a longer period of time.Unfortunately, it's not hard to ruin the strings either. I've had my bass sit in environments where just a few weeks were enough to make the strings sound dull. Be aware of this when you use these strings: they are sensitive to moisture/humidity. They will still sound good, but the tone will change drastically. (some people actually like that)
