I think people confuse production date with expiry date of product. The product is within a good date. Haven't had problems to be honest. My concern recently is to do with the product ingredients list which varies from what I bought in a store - maybe its due to the different market regions and formula choices. If I do my hair myself I rather pay at a real store even if it is a bit more money like Sallys ...in the end of the day still cheaper than going to a salon. Who knows how products or items are stored regulated and distributed at amazon
