Bought this for Nikon D3300 and it works great. Seems to be well made, the cable has a rubbery feel...overall, looks and feels expensive although it is really low priced. Certainly looks like it will last as long as the camera. I would have bought a Nikon one if they made one for D3300, but to my knowledge, they don't.

It does exactly what it says - remote release with lock.Half pressure to focus the camera, complete the action to fire the shutter. If you want a bulb exposure, just slide the button forward and it locks. Depress and slide back to release.The release plugs into the accessory port of my D610 and we're away.

Bought this 2 months ago and it was great. Now it no longer works! Cannot tell if it is this remote or something directly related to the camera. Very confused and frustrated. I'm too late to return this remote.UPDATE: 23 April. To my surprise and delight, customer services contacted me. I was offered a new shutter release. This supplier customer service is TOP CLASS -especially Sophia! New device works fine. Hopefully my first purchase failure was a fluke.

It's cheap, it arrived on time and it does what it says on the label. Nothing more.That was my initial review. On the third use, it broke as I was removing it from the camera. The metal cap stuck fast in the slot and I was left holding the cable with a load of loose wires. So I sent it back and got a refund. However, after looking at other, more expensive option, and re-Reading the reviews for this product, I decided I'd just been unlucky, would need to be more delicate in future about removing it from the camera and bought another one. I also bought two cheap Neewer remote shutter releases for when I want to be in the picture.

Worked brilliantly, until I broke it. Very simple piece of kit, plug it into your camera, set it to bulb mode or long exposure, and engage the shutter switch. That is all it does - you cannot set a timer on this. Anyone thinking about me breaking it - it was no reflection at all on the kit, it was the idiot (me) on the end of the camera. I forgot to unplug it, and had the camera upside down on a sofa unscrewing my tripod. As the camera rotated on the fabric the wire to the trigger caught and the insert to the camera bent. Fundamental idiot user error!

This is a budget remote release which works fine on my Nikon D7500. If you just want a basic remote shutter release, which has a lock on it for time exposures, with enough cable length to keep clear of your camera, then this is it. No need to buy the Nikon version. It's well made and looks as though it will last well.

Excellent little remote. Used with a Nikon 3300, fits perfectly. No problems removing it from camera either. Bought this for a trip to Iceland to photograph Northern Lights. Sadly we didn't see the Lights due to cloud cover but got some great shots of the moon! I'm a beginner to photography so this was just perfect for me. I'm not at the stage where I know exactly what I'm talking about with regards to photography equipment, but I needed a remote to use with my tripod. This one is pefect. No camera shake! Good cable length. Would thoroughly recommend this remote.

Bought this remote release as I wanted to take pictures of wildlife using my camera on tripod. I have been a little clumsy in past having set camera then moving it as I release the shutter. This remote allowed to set the camera up and stand a little back from it, and take photos without accidently moving the camera's positioning.
