It doesn't fall apart!
I'm a National level swim coach, which means my stopwatches get used 20hrs+ per week. That's a lot of abuse, and most watches these days don't seem capable of standing up to that. The Fast-time range (or their manufacturer) are notorious for buttons falling off or becoming over-sensitive and registering multiple splits in one press! So I was looking around for a watch from a different manufacturer (the casing style gives it away - most brands share the same manufacturer as the one mentioned above) and stumbled across this one on Amazon.Extremely well made, feels robust, and after the first 4 months of (ab)use shows no sign of wear (so I bought a 2nd one). I have around 15 watches in my bag (and another 10 that have fallen apart in recent years), these 2 Casios and a decade old Quantum are the only ones still functioning properly. Some novel features too ...Being able to set a sequence of countdown timers is useful and totally unique among the watches I've seen. It allows you to set up to 10 timers to countdown one after the other. Useful for sets with descending rest intervals. Unfortunately, just like on every other watch, no manufacturer has yet realised how useful it would be to show the running time alongside the countdown time - preferring instead to show time of day (neither use nor ornament). Shouting out athlete's swim times every 5sec is pretty tough when you have to calculate them from the countdown display. Kudos to Casio for being able to increase and decrease timer settings though (press left to decrease, right to increase), that saves time when you carelessly fly past the setting you want and have to scroll all the way round again. Also little things like scrolling through splits backwards and forwards just by pressing the other button. It also lets you choose to show stopwatch times as splits (overall time) or laps (time since last split), although some other watches do it slightly better by showing you both on the screen together - that would have made this watch almost perfect Casio!Absolutely no idea why it gives times to the 1/1000sec though - gimmicky! It's a handheld stopwatch Casio, no one's finger is that accurate! Unfortunately, that just gets confusing in the heat of action.Overall it appears to be an excellent, well made, watch. Here's hoping it stands the test of time (unlike most other stopwatches on the market today) - so far so good.**Update after 3 years**I eventually bought 4 of these and all are still working perfectly despite throwing them around a lot (no battery change yet either). However, the strap is a bit of a problem. It's a unique rubber ring attachment which deteriorates after a while and will snap. Easily replaced of course, but an odd design choice by Casio.**Update after 5 years**Thought this deserved an update after 5 years - no battery change required yet, but due any time now I guess.Of the 6 I have, 1 of the 5 year old watches has froze a few weeks ago. After 5 years of abuse though, that's pretty special. The rest are still like new :-) Just bought another 4 for a junior coach.**Update after 8 years**Yep, I'm back for two more. Out of 6 purchased, 2 have conked out over the years - completely dead screen even after a battery change. After the abuse they get though, still having 4 going strong is outstanding, I've never had watches last this long. Other than the silly strap and lack of stroke rate functionality (easily worked around) these are pretty much perfect.

Stop Watch
Has a nice solid well made feel to it with well seated buttons that do not wobble.I bought this for Athletics (Track) coaching with a group of distance middle runners. Having both the actual lap and split time is ideal. The recall function is easy to use and the buttons are easy to operate in the winter with cold hands or while wearing gloves. As another reviewer has mentioned, a small carry case to keep it in would be a good addition instead of using the bubble-wrap bag it came in.Since purchasing this I have bought another one for a coaching friend after their watch of many years decided to finally stop working.

Excellent
First of all, finding a stopwatch seems to be one of life's impossible tasks. I'm currently working towards qualifying as a swimming judge and needed a new stopwatch. Plenty of very cheap stopwatches around, but something of a little "quality" sadly lacking. I stumbled across this on Amazon. Well priced and subsequently ordered. I was delighted when it arrived. Well made, packed full of features and water resistant! Easy to use, with a straight forward lap / split function and recall, this is a quality piece of kit. Well worth paying the extra over the others to be found on Amazon (around the £10.00 mark) as I feel this will last considerably longer. Very pleased with the purchase.

Awesome, how a stopwatch should be
I originally got some "cheap" stopwatch recommended by Amazon and it was useless, even crashing during timing! Anyway, this is expensive yes, but works perfectly, great build quality, will last many years! Highly recommended over cheap alternatives.

Fantastic stopwatch!
Fantastic stopwatch, well built, easy to use and like most Casios has plenty of useful features. It's a little more expensive than other stopwatches but well worth it especially if you intend to use it regularly.

Good price and very sturdy
This stop watch is very sturdily built, it feels like it will survive the roughest handling. The display is set well back so it is pretty well protected from accidental damage. There are more modes than anyone could possibly need but isn't that the case of all gadgets nowadays? The manual isn't the easiest to follow and you won't figure this think out by just pressing buttons unless all you need is a basic start-lap-stop-reset functionality. For that it is the same as any stopwatch I have used.It records down to thousandths of a second, totally silly, nobody has reaction times that good. The result is I have to round to the nearest hundredth of a second when timekeeping a swim gala for example. All in a good stopwatch

Excellent stopwatch
I have now purchased 8 of these - not all for me - because they are so reliable. I use them when coaching swimming and they are used every day. The ones I bought 3 years ago are still going strong and I have purchased them for younger coaches in my club. They are so robust and I have never had any problems with them.I bought more expensive watches in the past for twice this price and more - all failed miserably(buttons fell off and display went out).If you are thinking about this watch do not hesitate- you will not be disappointed.
