Midrange quality but recommended, especially when discounted. Work well.
I've bought three of these now (4 port USB3) - one for work and two for myself. I've added a power supply that I already had to one of mine - you'll need it for anything demanding like running external hard disks and with some music equipment. The switches are useful to disconnect power when the laptop is off, otherwise all the devices stay powered-up. Also means I can leave things switched off when I'm not using them and the processor power isn't being used unnecessarily. The lights bleed a little so sometimes the adjacent switch looks like it's on and you have to think twice. Switches feel responsive and the click is definite. Plastic casing is fine and not flimsy, though it isn't super-sturdy. The USB sockets sometimes feel a little too clunky and snug - I suspect they're on the cheap side - but after a year of use I'm confident they'll last for ages with any user that doesn't mistreat them, especially if you don't have to keep plugging in and out several times a day. By contrast, the male plug on the other end feels solid and decent quality. I'm sure there are much sturdier versions at a higher price-point but I think they got their compromises right for this price. I bought these between £11-£12. I recommend setting up a camelizer alert as they're often under £10 - I think they discount these once a month! It's a shame they rarely discount the one with the power supply as I think that's slightly overpriced.

I found this very useful, works well, charging speed not bad even when charging 3/4 things togerther.

A great little hub if you can get one that works! Save a fortune by buying used :)
I purchased my first one of these used and it worked great. Speeds are comparible to my more expensive usb3 docks when transferring from external ssds. I was impressed by the first i bought a second new. Unfortunately this failed to be recognised at all so was promptly sent back. I bought 2 more used as they were available again thinking i'd get at least one that worked. To my surprise both worked great and have been running on an enterprise server running esxi for well over a week now. The individual buttons are an added perk although it's unlikely in my use they will get touched now everything is setup and working. It did help me with installation to figure out what usb plug went where and on my desktop its nice to be able to turn things off to "reset" them when windows enevitably throws a wobbler and doesn't recognise a usb stick etc. This would have required me getting under the desk or shutting down my machine. Now i keep the hub on my desk within reach for easy access. Admittedly i could just unplug the offending usb but wheres the fun in that when there's buttons i can press :P Overall i'm pretty impressed and at around a fiver from the used section well worth the pennies. You don't get packaging with the used option but as i generally throw packaging away from low cost items it makes no difference to me and is better for the environment. YMMV but for me i've gotten 3 decent hubs for around £15 which is a no brainer!

Amazing
Absolutely amazing I needed a new port for my Xbox and my led light set ups and didn't know you could get one with a longer wire. I love I can switch single ports off too! Amazing

Convenient size, and simply put . . it WORKS.
First thing to bear in mind is that his is a NON-Powered hub. So, if you want to connect multiple external drives or devices consuming significant power, then you may not have success. This is nothing to do with this hub, but your own lack of understanding that the maximum you can operate through this is determined by the maximum power output capability of the USB of your computer. A Non-powered hub cannot increase the power available from your computer USB. I really like this hub. it is a handy size and takes up very little space in my bag when I am travelling. It allows me to quickly connect and use cameras, phones and wireless mouse simultaneously. At the office where I want large external hard-disk drives continuously connected I use a powered hub set-up. I do not see this hub as a replacement for that set-up. I find the switches facility a useful addition that allows me to re-enable something or just take it offline quickly without reaching to the back of the desk and unplugging things. This is a 5-star device without hesitation. Prospective buyers should read the sellers complete detailed Product Description. Take note of the following to avoid disappointment or misunderstanding: Please Note: 2.4Ghz wireless devices, such as wireless keyboard and mouse adapters, may not work in close proximity to USB 3.0 devices or hubs. Connecting to a USB 2.0 port is recommended. For a stable connection, any device connected to the 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub must not exceed a combined current of 5 volts 900 mAh. External hard-drives should be connected to an external power source. UPDATE Nov 2019: been using this daily, at home om my desk and when travelling. I have a logitech universal receiver plugged in at all times, and use it for USB sticks, and connections to printer, webcam, cellphones. It works perfectly.

Works for me :-)
This work's well for me, i use on my laptop, it doesn't take up to much space and it works. I have only used it for a week or so, but have had no issues with it at all. A 2 foot cable allows for decent placement without having to reach to far. I like this one :-)

Easily select USB-3 port(s) you wish to use
I bought a gaming laptop a few months ago in replacement for a superb laptop which worked well and faithfully for over 4 years. I use several external hard drives and peripherals which demand USB 3 ports. With constantly switching peripheral devices into various USB ports/expanders, the 1st USB port wore out after 14 months' heavy use. Returning to the store, I found that the port couldn't simply be replaced as it was integrated onto the motherboard. Fortunately, I was entitled to the motherboard being replaced FOC under the warrenty agreement (they also replaced the internal battery. Two days after I got the machine back, the hard drive died, and that was replaced too, under express conditions as the failing hard drive had not been detected when the laptop was checked before being returned). It's ironic, I know, when I describe the machine as faithfully working for over 4 years when the above work was done on it. The free replacement battery was an offer which I noticed when I took the machine to the store for the USB port problem, so decided to take advantage of it; I had software installed which monitored the hard drive's health, and there had been no indication of any hard drive problems before I returned the laptop, so the sudden failure of it just days after it was returned made me suspicious..... but the express speed with which the store resolved the issue saw the laptop returned to me in just two days. A USB 3 expander with manual switches so you can select how many (or how few) of the 4 USB ports are fully active was attractive to me. As I think was mentioned by another reviewer, the ports which are 'off' do still have a very small voltage running through them, but the ability to select which ports are fully active was very attractive to me. So far, I have no complaints about the units (I bought 3 of them), although I would have liked a connector lead of greater length - but that seems to be true of most products, these days). One of the units I gave to my brother-in-law, who runs so many tablets and ipads as well as several gaming consoles, always seemed to be running out of USB ports for charging units and connecting peripherals. He was delighted with it, and even more so when he fully took in the expander's main feature: 'You can select which ports you want to use!' he explained to me, with almost schoolboy-like enthusiasm. Since I gave it to him, he's had nothing but good comments to make about it. So, I guess that's two positives for this unit, in one over-lengthy and ramblling review. Good item, well worth the asking-price!

Very good hub!
I've been using it with my keyboard and mouse (occasionally some pendrive). It works perfectly. The cable is very think and looks durable, and during the night I can easily turn off the connections using the buttons, so I don't have a bunch of lights from the devices. Please mind that if you change to another computer with everything connected, it will not be recognized. You need to turn off and turn on in order to Windows identify the devices. But that's an expected behavior and easily done with the on/off buttons. Also please not that it is not recommend for fast phone charging or running power-heavy devices, as it has no external power source. Totally recommend this hub.

Still working years later, and that says more than a first-week review ever could 🔌💡
Here’s a version that includes the Vine point without making it sound defensive or odd. I softened “wasting my time” into “choosing to spend time,” which keeps the same point but reads better. 🔌 I bought this Sabrent USB hub back in May 2021, with my own money, and I’m writing this review years later because it still works. That alone is probably the most meaningful thing I can say about it. A USB hub is not the kind of product that usually inspires reflection. It is supposed to be boring. It is supposed to sit on a desk, connect things, power things, survive being moved around, and quietly disappear into the background. The best version of a product like this is one you stop thinking about because it simply keeps doing its job. That is what this one has done. The ports still work. The individual power switches still work. The LED indicators still light up. The cable has held up. I have used it casually for years, plugged things in and out of it, moved it around, and never treated it like some delicate premium accessory. It just kept functioning. The individual switches are more useful than they may seem at first. Being able to turn off a single device without unplugging the whole hub is genuinely convenient, especially for accessories, card readers, controllers, lights, or anything else you do not need powered constantly. I also normally would not mention Vine in a review, but in this case it feels relevant because this is not a Vine item. I paid for it myself in 2021. I already write plenty of Vine reviews, so there is no real incentive for me to come back years later and spend time reviewing a basic USB hub unless it actually earned that review. And that is really the point. Some products impress you immediately, and some products prove themselves by lasting long enough that you realize they were better than you gave them credit for. This is one of the second kind. It is simple, practical, reliable, and still working years later. For a small tech accessory, that is about as strong a recommendation as I can give.
