Wilton Ultimate Cake Decorating Set with Tote, Multi-Colour, 216-Piece

It’s a great set but could do with instructions on what some of the things are for

The only thing I thought of was I wished it came with instructions for all this!! There was some really cool stuff in this bag. The bag itself was also nice. It was thickly insulated, sides zip down and there are several nice sized pockets as well as separate spots for your knives.

An excellent value. I'm excited about all of the disasters I'm going to make with this kit. Other reviewers have commented that the items don't fit in the tote but I placed it all in there with ease and placed a bunch of other related items too. Also the tote is interesting, in that it has zippers down each side making it possible to fold the bag out completely flat. You can't see it in the picture but it does have two flaps that can be zippered closed across the top. I wasn't keen on the tote from the product description but it's much better than I anticipated. There is too much equipment to comment on individual pieces but my overall impression is of decent quality good for a beginner. Be warned- the kit contains no instructions at all. Watch some youtubes or buy the Wilton Method books or enroll in some classes.

The holy grail for me. Take it everywhere. Only thing I will fault it for is that there is no description on what some of the items are for particularly for a novice

My best friend and I love baking, and so I decided to get this for her birthday. Wilton is always our go-to brand for baking and cake decorating, and the tools that come with the set are excellent. The reason I knocked off a couple of stars is: 1. While it technically does have 216 pieces, it is a bit deceptive. For example, you get 50 disposible piping bags all of which are counted within the 216. Realistically, it's a lot less that 216 varied pieces. 2. It doesn't come with a manual or any kind of instructions. Not only are there quite a few tools that neither of us has seen before, but whether or not we were familiar with the tools, we hadn't used a lot of them before. Considering the fact that you're shelling out $150+ you'd think that this comes with some kind of manual. Whether or not this is aimed at professionals I feel like there's not harm including a manual. 3. Value for money: this product does not come cheap, and the above points compared to the price just does not seem worth it.
