Quality is great
Absolutely brilliant product. The quality is, as you would expect from Philips...top notch. The best.I tried this out today for the first time and I was pleased , as I expected to be. The quality was exceptional and the time to chop ingredients was just a few seconds and the results were just great. I had previously bought a Kenwood chopper which was useless. The quality, sadly was below par with the blade unit breaking (splitting) after just a few uses over two years. I complained to Kenwood and they told me that their products were very good....Yeah...What a bunch of idiots. Never , ever buy a Kenwood product. The quality just isn't there whereas Philips quality speaks for itself.

Great product
Good product. Very easy to use. I use mostly for chopping onions and this is super quick so less tears! Very easy to clean and the blades are sharp so very fast. A couple of pulses are enough to give finely chopped anything!

Good, but watch your fingers!
Works well, but you need to do small amounts at a time, per the instructions.Oh, and the blades are really, really sharp, so take care when washing them - see photo (that's after a week and a visit to A&E)

Impressed
Excellent and powerful product. If you need to chop up vegetables then this is great. It's very quick to give you what you want. You simply press your hand down on the top of the machine and it will start chopping. It will also make salsas and sauces. It's easy to clean and to store away.I'm glad I purchased this as it makes life a lot easier.

It really chopps
The lame is very good and it chops almost everything, It is perfect for smoothies/juices. I think the bell peppers or carrots are chopped too much and I do not have any control here. For example, if one wants to make a soup and see the tiny bits of vegetables they can't - the vegetables will be chopped close to a juice-looking-like. But it is ok and good quality!

Good chopper but hard to clean some parts
Just annoying as food can get in to the motor part quite easily via the hole in the lid that the motor part goes on. Then this is very difficult to clean. All other parts (blades etc) are very easy to clean and to go in to the dishwasher.Otherwise would be great

Good for NUTS BUTTER...
So far so good. Got the chopper yesterday and made a banana ice cream. I was a little skeptical about being able to do the banana ice cream because of the small blade but it was OK. I have a food processor and was too big for just a couple of frozen bananas slices for a cup of banana ice cream, so I was looking for a small chopper to do the job and this one did it. I added some water to frozen banana to make it easier for the blade and it was OK. So, so far I am happy with it.So, new review. I made almond butter which I find the most difficult to make to rich a creamy, pouring consistency. Anyway, I started with my Philips food processor which I bought especially to make nuts butter using 250 g homemade blanched almonds. After 45 min and a hot Philips I almost gave up when I thought to use the small...chopper. So, after 30 min with breaks in between, I got what I wanted. It gets hot, but with patience and maybe if you immerse the bottom of the bowl in cold water, it works. Today I've done cashew butter using 125 g of cashews and I used the ....chopper from the start. I think that using a small bowl when doing nuts butter it's the key to a creamy pouring butter. Last week I used the food processor for cashew butter and I didn't get the creamy consistency which I got today using the...chopper. I can't wait to do again almond butter using the little bugger from the start. I just hope to be patience enough and not burn the chopper.:)

Not really fit for purpose :(
I have used the device a handful of times to make sauces, dips etc, always adhering to the instructions not to overfil etc.Unfortunately there seems to be an inherent design flaw in the product redering it unsuitable for its intended use and unfit for purpose. It is a little hard to explain without actually showing the problem, but the chopper is sort of a reverse design to most, the bowl and blade sit on the worktop, you fill them up and then there is a lid with a hole that goes over the chopper shaft. You then lower the motor unit onto the top which makes contact with the chopper shaft and then it starts up and spins/chops.The parts other than the motor unit are all washable. However, the hole and shaft constantly eject the contents of the bowl up the shaft, through the hole and into the bottom of the motor unit. There is a pressure switch and spring on the bottom of the motor unit that gets caked in the contents of the bowl, both on the outside of the workings ans through the gaps into the motor housing. This cannot be washed as the instructions forbid it as obviously it is an electrical device. It would render the machine broken. It is impossible to clean the unit properly and believe me I have tried very hard and spent literally hours doing so.It is very likely that the ingress of content from the bowl will break the device shortly in any case.It is a really poor design and I would advise people to look elsewhere unless they are only milling dried foodstuffs in this device.Philips are normally at the top of their game, this in my opinion is a very badly thought out device.
