Description says battery powered. Where do the batteries go?

They are NOT battery powered. I don't know why they put that in the description. I was also concerned when I saw the description. I bought these and they are great toothbrushes!

where are the brushes made?

They are made, like most other things that are bought in America, in China. This probably keeps the cost down. I will say that these are the only brand of brushes that I buy, as they are the softest that I have ever found, and I've tried all the major brands. Even my personal dentist gives these out to all his patients. So, if you have sensitive gums, these are the ones for you.

Perfect for sensitive teeth

I am a fan of GUM Sunstar brushes to begin with and have used the Technique Soft Compact for years. Decided to give the ultra soft brush head a go due to some issues with aggressive brushing and sensitivity. The compact head size is the same as other Technique compact models, and it works great. The super soft bristles are balancing out my heavy hand, so sensitivity is on the decline. Technique style bristles are always a win with their floss-like tapered tips. In purchasing a set of 12 brushes, these work out to less than $2 per brush, per high end brush. That is a great deal! Highly recommend.

Great toothbrush

These are soft and doesn't hurt my teeth or gums.At the end of their life the lose a few bristles each time, and that stinks. Or I may be using them a little too long, huh? I'll work on that one.

The media could not be loaded. I’m not sure why anybody would be upset with this toothbrush. The handle is beautiful and shaped perfectly for you to hold when you’re brushing your teeth. The head is small enough to reach back teeth and large enough to cover a large surface. The price can’t be beat
