Joseph Joseph 20085 Adjustable Rolling Pin - Multi-Colour

Had this for several years now, using it every other month to roll out cake and pizza dough. It is such a clever design, holding all elements in place with solid plastic screws on each end. The wood is very straight, for ease of use, looks clean and has no smell from any treatments. The coloured rings are of good quality and feel so much better and more solid than many wooden kids toys you can buy. But this is not a toy. This is a large rolling pin that is as east to use as a toy. Cleaning is even easier, it comes apart with a few twists and can be washed in seconds. I believe this will easily last 10 years of use because after 5 it still looks like new. Very good rolling experience. The wood is dry and doesnt require much flower to not be sticky. The plastic rings determine the height of the dough you want to roll our and there are multiple options for anything from thin pizza dough to thick gingerbread biscuits or oat bars. Great purchase and a product that will last.

What a brilliant idea! I must get baking some biscuits now to try it out. I like the way they have improved the design to lock the size rings firmly in place. I understand the original design had end caps that rotated a bit, but these don't so that is a big improvement.

I used to believe that one rolling bin was much like the other. This one has changed my mind. Apart from being of the quality one would expect from Joseph Joseph, it's also quite versatile. I always had a problem judging the correct depth of whatever I was rolling. Not anymore. This one has detachable discs at either end. They're handily labeled in millimeters so you're guaranteed the correct depth every dime. Even the roller is marked by millimeters so you can roll out the correct width, and the markings have no impact on the pastry. It's like they're not there. Added to that, this roller is super easy to clean. I use it at least weekly (for over six months now). It's never let me down and looks like it's going to last a long time.

Bought this at a reduced price, but I am not the sort of baker who needs to measure my pastry thickness to the nearest millimetre, so it is overspecced for my purposes. That said, it is still useful; the 'barrel' is longer than the one I already had, because it has no handles as such. The lack of them doesn't seem to make a difference to its usability. If I have a quibble it's the tendency of the thickness-gauges that screw into each end to unscrew themselves in use. Also the unused gauges clutter up my utensil drawer. Apart from that, a nice bit of kit, with a barrel of high-quality wood.

Brilliant rolling pin. Like all the Joseph products I’ve seen, it looks good but more importantly, it is perfectly designed to do its job. It made rolling out pastry for mince pies and shortbread a breeze and is a joy to use. I really can’t recommend it highly enough. These are usually more expensive so I was attracted by the price. It arrived well within the expected time and I just wish I had invested in one years ago. Happy to recommend the rolling pin and the vendor.

OK i've wanted this for years and I saw it on offer (less than £17) so finally gave in - what a purchase!! my cookies and biscuits have never been so even!!!! really heavy duty too, even used it on my legs when the squats at the gym were too much lol

Beautiful sturdy adjustable rolling pin! I recently got back into home baking for my son and it's difficult to have perfect cookies using a normal rolling pin (or at least I'm not that experienced!). I found this very easy to use, it perfectly level the dough and the cooking is even because of that. It's a bit more expensive than others but it's worth every cent!
