Developed for the Australian outback, this is a heavy duty,hard wearing waterproofing product. Easy to apply spray application wax cotton (oilskin) reproofer which contains a wax and fluoropolymer which provides a convenient method of reproofing the dry patches that are subject to friction such as knees, sleeves, neck and shoulders. The wax cotton reproofer also contains an antibacterial additive which prevents against mould and mildew. Check your wax cotton on a monthly basis for dry patches, especially in areas that are subject to friction. Dry patches indicate that these areas will require reproofing. Reproofing The traditional method of reproofing oilskin products is with a reproofing wax which, whilst very effective in restoring the waterproof properties, is very labour intensive in its application and therefore it is only the fastidious person who undertakes his process. However Tantech has developed a spray application oilskin reproofer which contains a wax and fluoropolymer which provides a convenient method of reproofing the dry patches.

Very impressive with minimal effort.
As has been asked many times in this products listing “can I use this on my Barbour” and just like those asking I had an expensive waxed Barbour jacket in dire need of re-waxing.So yes, I bought this as the Barbour approved method of re-waxing is either buy a couple of tins of their wax, melt it, paint on etc or send it to them for professional servicing at X amount of money. Online was little help as no one seemed to want to defy Barbour and suggest an alternative to the official advice.Luckily Amazon came to the rescue. This spray is easy to use. I simply made sure my jackets were clean by sponging down with warm water, let them dry, then sprayed this on until the material looked wet. The spray doesn’t really smell and looks like watered down PVA glue but really does the job in a fraction of the time and aggravation of the traditional wax method. Has worked wonders on my jacket during this washout May we’ve had. Will always use this on the family Barbour products.

Excellent product and exceptional customer service
Read the reviews for this product and so much easier than solid wax so thought I would give it a go.Very easy to use and covers well. It is a different finish to the traditional wax but my jacket looked great when I had finished and is completely waterproof, I had enough product to reproof my hat as well!My only criticism is about the dispenser as the spray mechanism broke when I was only half way through treating my jacket.I sent an email to the manufacturer and to my amazement I recieved a reply almost immediately, apologising and promising to despatch another bottle immediately for next day delivery. The replacement arrived as promised the following day. Excellent customer service and I was very impressed.

Reproofing spray
This spray had a 'milky' look which I applied outside on a flat surface to avoid it running off. My well saturated coat looks a lot better. It doesn't have a 'waxy' finish and I have not yet worn it in wet weather but it has certainly refreshed the appearance of my coat.

Brilliant stuff
Really easy to use, went on easily , applied with coat on a hanger outside in sunny weather, dried nice and even, gave the garment 2 coats and used all the bottle. 3 days later it rained and coat was brilliant, definitely purchase this product again. rained many times since purchase, works as expected.

Duster reproofing.
Arrived well within estimated time, packaging was damaged by courier, a little product was lost, NO fault of supplier 👍 Very easy to apply and great coverage, using it to reproof long duster I bought in 1992, it has come up like new and waterproofing is good, recommended for anybody that does not have the time to use the wax 👍👍

New to re-waxing - bloody great product
3 year old wax jacket (expensive purchase) was looking tired and a bit battered. Made enquiries amongst the 'shooting, fishing set' about best way to rewax... advice was 1) wash in machine 2) buy relevant wax from jacket company 3) heat and paint on... hmmm Bought this one instead - bloody great!! After jacket dried I spent 15 minutes spraying all over till wet and left to dry fully... looks great and no odour, no missed bits, no hassles... this is my go to for the future...

Good product
Good product but difficult to ensure perfect coverage unless coat is laid on a flat table. If hung on a line to spray the spray tends to form little streams if you are not careful and runs of the coat but all in all the product delivers good waterproofing.
