Excellent - light, powerful and durable.
I have had one of these for 10 years and it is still working perfectly. The lithium batteries are excellent and still hold a large charge. I find the adjustable torque setting to be very useful when using it as a bit driver so I don't over tighten the screw. It can handle most drilling jobs but when I had to drill a large number of holes into concrete in a new apartment I had to buy a pro SDS hammer drill. So when I needed a first-house-warming gift I picked this Bosch drill in combination with the excellent Bosch GLI 12V-330 LED cordless work light (which is the number 1 thing I use from my tool box).

My Best DIY Purchase- EVER!
This is the best cordless drill i have ever owned. I have had this now for over 6 months and it ticks all the boxes for me. It's pretty light weight, but feels quality, the battery life is really good- I can leave this for weeks without using it and its always has plenty of juice. The compact size of it is a big feature for me and as makes it really easy to hold. I only use this for DIY - pictures, hooks, curtain rails, access holes etc, drilling in to brick etc but its multi speed and toggle between screw, hammer and drill mode is very good, plus it has 2 speeds. I searched for hours looking at the massive section of cordless drills , read so many reviews but as I had a Bosch for years that had grown tired, unreliable, it was heavy as i was a little put off. But this is a perfect drill - I'd say not just for DIY but probably pro use also.

Impressive 12v Bosch combi drill
The media could not be loaded. Well I have to say after reading a few comments on this bosch 12v drill I was a little apprehensive about chuck wobble from such a well known brand. But I can only comment on how I find it and I just don't have this issue at all it runs true, I often on other high branded drills I have seen this though before and in my case it wasn't the drill/ chuck it was the bit holder that was crap ...if I put the bit or drill direct into the chuck Central it spins perfectly true.I like the power for a 12 volt unit it drills into concrete on hammer mode OK, obviously I'd use a more powerful tool for bigger jobs.2 speeds for drilling and screwing or hammer mode all worked well on testing.I compared it to another cheaper 12v drill I have and the cheaper one is much less powerful no contest. It's very comfortable to hold and is well balanced, the 2 batteries supplied 1.5 Ah seem to be holding up quite well , on arrival I charged both batteries up they took approximately around 80 mins each to fully charged until the flashing green led stays steady, there is no battery power indicator to show how much power is remaining. For the jobs that require a medium tool like this instead the getting the big lads out it's a great handy DIY tool for the home.I'm gonna buy a 3Ah battery for this tool & save the smaller ones for back up.Over-all well happy with this drill a good bosch tool for the home and a decent case too.

Regretted it at first but now I love it
I regretted buying this the moment I opened the case and picked up the drill. The case feels very flimsy and doesn't hold the contents very securely. The trigger in the drill is also very flimsy and my initial thought was I've had cheap drills in the past that are better made than this. I expected more from a Bosch pro range and was disappointed. As others have commented on, the chuck does loosen over time and the bit drops out. An annoyance when using it around the home but I can see it being a real pain when it happens on site. That said the more I use it the more I love it. It's surprisingly powerful for a 12v, is comfortable to use and the batteries seem to last forever. I use mine primerily as a screwdriver as I have more powerful drills for that job and if you can accept its failings it's a great drill/driver. I would only use it for light work though. Drilling or screwing anything over 2 inches deep though and you'll need something more powerful.

Nice set in a good case.
It was for my dad and he is very pleased with it. His old Makita was on its last legs battery wise and was of the older heavier era ones. This was priced very well and comes with 2 batteries. Its light and he finds it a lot easier to do his hobby jobs with because of its lightness giving more control. It has a light built in. The batteries last a long time, but its only a slow charger, so remember to put the battery on charge when you use the next. At the price, its compactness, quality and power, its a good buy.

Solid workhorse, and it is light too!
I have a twin pack of this plus an impact driver already, so it was a simple decision to get this unit for my daughter as she moved into her first home. It is strong, tough and powerful, as well as being versatile enough for most DIY tasks: screwing and unscrewing, drilling into wood or plastic, and drilling into masonry with the hammer function. The best bit though is that the 12v batteries make the tool very light in the hand, which is important if you have to hold it up for lots of repeated operations. We're not all built like body-builders! The batteries charge quickly, too.
