Excellent comprehensive book about shadow puppets. Instructions are easy to understand with clear photographs. I enjoyed the beginning section about the history of shadow puppets.

If you're interested in shadow puppetry, this is the book for you. It covers all the main aspects of the genre; history, techniques, fabrication, lighting, etc... The quality of the images are stellar, the text is easy to read, the research thorough. I really think this book is a little gem and has become my reference for shadow play theater.

This is the Shadow puppeteer's bible. The book explains everything you need to know about shadow puppetry. It's got easy to understand text, step by step illustrations not only to make the puppets, but the stage as well. This book is great for school projects, girl scout and boy soout projects and any one who wishes to give shadow puppetry a whirl

I am a teacher and used this book to help with making a shadow puppet sequence in a school show. The book provides a lot of detail about the history and different styles of shadow puppets which I found useful as inspiration for creating my own. There is also a lot of technical detail about how to create the puppets and information on lighting and creating a frame which was helpful for instructing students. This is probably the most comprehensive book out there on shadow puppetry and I highly recommend it.

I love this book! It has the history of shadow puppetry, the concepts of shadows and silhouettes in art, science and culture, the various forms shadow puppetry takes in countries around the world, and lots of great information on how to design, build, and perform shadow puppets in a variety of configurations. This will be a starring addition to my library on the subject of puppetry.

This book is the must have if you are really interested in learning how to work with shadow puppet. It is a quite technical book that i wouldn't recommend to beginners but if you have some notion and you want to learn more then this book is perfect for you!

This is a seriously beautiful book, but unless you are really into shadow puppetry it may have too much info. It covers virtually all aspects of shadow puppetry with lots of great photos. It truly is for the puppet connoisseur and if you are one then you will love this book.
