Evolution A4 100gsm Business Paper Ream - White

I bought this ream of paper for printing a thesis. As such, I wanted a paper that was substantial, slightly textured, and acceptably white, without being too expensive (for all my paper-based snobbery, I was a student at the end of a degree, after all). I looked at quite a few different papers (I'm always curious about them) before opting for this one.When I purchased this paper, having read all of the other reviews, I was a little concerned that it might be a bit too grey and plain for my purposes - I wanted something very presentable, or at least something for which any loss in presentational impact could be off-set easily with the thought (not the statement) that it is 100% recycled paper.To my mind, this paper is perfectly presentable in and of itself and slightly exceeded my expectations. No, it's not dazzling in the way that ultra-white papers from the like of HP are dazzling, and yes, next to those papers (and even some plain budget papers) it comes over as slightly rough and 'grey' ('grey' is far too strong a term, as it is a marginal rather than significant thing; likewise the ultra white ones slightly too 'blue' to my eye when next to a plain white sheet); that said, this paper is a lot cheaper, possibly easier on the eye when reading a large text document, and comes with the slightly self-indulgent feeling that you have done the world a favour by purchasing something made from something else in a way that is supposedly environmentally friendly. As I anticipated, the paper has a slight coarseness of texture, which is pleasant enough if you like that and not particularly noticeable if you don't.So there we are, I can be an eco-snob and a paper-snob, so I'm doubly - or even triply (it didn't break the bank, remember) - happy, and would doubly - or even triply - happily consider doing all of my future printing on this brand of paper.

This is nice quality paper, smooth surface and just as clear and white as the likes of normal Xerox paper. The extra 20-25gsm over average copier paper really shows and I think is nice to work with.My only critique is that the take up of ink if you want to use it for pen/fountain pen isn't as good as something like Xerox Premier. I wonder if this is to do with the underlying material chunks in the process being bigger than paper which includes some fresh material. Either way, not a bad price to pay either for slightly higher grade of paper and eco credentials.

Fabulous that this is 100% recycled and made using low carbon production methods. It's amazing quality too, as well as a good price. Recycled paper has come a long way; this stands up to double sided printing without any ink bleed through, and feeds well through my printer which with other paper can be sensitive and grasp too many sheets at once. It loves this stuff though - as do I! The colour is as good a white as any 'normal' paper, and the thickness is perfect for a 2-sided flyer. 5 stars ***** for me - great purchase!

From some of the reviews here I wasn't expecting anything near 'white' but I am really pleasantly surprised - I honestly cannot make out a significant difference between this and regular non-recycled paper in terms of whiteness. It is noticeably and satisfyingly thicker than regular 80 gsm paper I have, so the 100 gsm spec is likely pretty accurate, in my humble opinion anyway. It goes through my el cheapo HP inkjet printer just fine and prints look the same as on regular paper. I can highly recommend this stuff if you're looking for 100gsm recycled paper.

Bought it because it is recycled and this was the most important factor. Both my husband and myself use it for typing invoices/letters. The paper is very smooth and white. I have an ink jet printer and have no issues with the quality of printing. So far so good!I was concerned because some folk had said it was posted wrapped in plastic, but thankfully this was not the case. It arrived in intact in a sturdy cardboard box wrapped in paper...but the actual paper wrapping was badly damaged along with a couple of the sheets of paper. I’ve bought printing paper wrapped in paper from other suppliers in the past and that has arrived in perfect condition. The condition in which this has arrived, even though it was in a sturdy cardboard box, is the reason for the 3 star rating.

The quality of this paper is really good. i highly recommend it and will buy again. on an environmental note, its 100% recycled, so no trees were chopped down! Excellent.

I use this brand already in a lower gsm in larger sizes so I was really happy to buy this one! I use it for my business and it is a tad bit pricey but I think it's worth it for the environment when using a lot and I know my customers appreciate it.Huge shame that it was packaged so poorly in a paper Amazon bag! So it was quite damaged upon arrival that I did lose a couple of sheets.

Very poor packing where the box was twice the size of the contents. Our paper was damaged.
