How long is the rigid tip?

Long enough that you can cut it off if you need smaller. I have an implant bridge with five post and it's difficult to maneuver any other type of floss, even the fuzzy ones from the drug store. This one is fantastic, I have used it for 4 years now. You won't find another one with rigid tips longer than this and they are long on both ends.

Is this thicker than the periodontal?

Yes much thicker. I use it under my perm bridge. Works fine.

Is there any mint or other flavoring or scent?

I don't have any flavored threaders. I do not know if the manufacturer offers anything like that.

Why is the $15 a box when it's $5 a box elsewhere ? ripoff ? yup.
