Handpicked Collection Carpet Beater

Could see the dust on the top of daughter's curtains, and after great discussion with each other we decided that perhaps buying a carpet beater and beating the 'h'll out of them would probably be the answer. The beater arrived very quickly and was well packed in a cardboard box packed with paper, so no sweat as it all is recyclable. The beater is substantial and beautifully made - looks rustic - really nice. My daughter left the job to me (which was great - I think she could see I was really keen) I pegged the curtains on the washing line and had a great time seeing the dust flying out of them and hearing loud thwack after loud thwack - God only knows what the neighbours thought I was doing - warning you can get carried away doing this! The rest of her curtains are now scheduled for a good beating, and then I will start on my own. The beater now has pride of place hanging on my kitchen wall - ready for action whenever needed. Everybody is a winner! You can take your aggression out of the curtains and not your 'old man', it is so eco-friendly and cheaper than sending curtains to the dry cleaners. A really good buy.

I bought two of these , one for my sister and the other for myself and they are surprisingly strong .Being of the older generation I wasnt expecting them to be as good as the ones I remember butthey are exactly the same , NO vacuum or carpet sweeper is as good for rugs as one of these,

This item arrived broken but as it was only used as a stage property I bound it up with masking tape and it lasted a week.

Good price and it does do the job

I bought this to do the rugs - it is just old fashioned brilliance - has the right weight and a whip like action to the shaft - you can really crack the dust out! Great for reliving a bit of tension as well - the thack you get is very satisfying!

We bought this as a present for one of our domestic slaves, sorry, I mean servants. Hope she enjoys it for Christmas. We normally supplement her pay with £5 for Christmas but this year we thought that we would push the boat out as we have just sold our villa in Tuscany at a huge profit. Generous to a fault you will no doubt say but its so hard to find domestics that are prepared to work a twenty hour shift and stay loyal.

Gorgeous but not strong enough for purpose. It broke within minutes of beating a rug which I had hung over the clothes line.
