Useful, compact, relatively good quality.
Startech are obviously very well known these days for adapters and cables of this nature. They maintain an above average quality for all products I've encountered under their brand and are relatively fair in price, given you get a tested and verified product at little above the price which eBay or aliexpress might offer, with UK guarantees on quality and warranty provision. All my encounters with startech have been good over the last two decades. Would recommend this product.

the ronseal of adapters
I bought this to replace an occasionally used null modem cable since I was already using a USB to serial adapter with a long cable. This has effectively removed my need to carry one very long and cumbersome cable. I'm very happy with the solid construction and reasonable price.of this adapter.

It works
Not much to say: works perfectly in practice, well built, nice that the screws can be removed if required. As expected, supports hardware flow control (RTS/CTS anyway). Decent price too.
