Boy, am I glad I used this product.
I have used diesel on forms before. Works sort of but so smelly/messy. Reviews of this product are all over the map. I applied a coat on the T&G subfloor panels that I cut to the width I required. Both sides had a relatively smooth surface but with all the little crevices the concrete could have really caused problems. I used a sprayer that is meant for weed killer and such. Sprayed a generous coat and the temp was in the low 50's. An hour later, another coat. The next day I had to chip the spilled concrete away from the ends of my forms (areas where I did not use the Release Agent, which took about an hour each. Since the one run was 34 feet long and a foot high, I was concerned of the forms buckling outward. Before the pour, I packed sand in the gap between the forms and the soil, worrying about my form design failing in catastrophe, only to cause grief during this removal process. Now I am trying to remove the forms and am afraid I will need to dig out the length of the run to get the forms to release. Good news. Once the ends were no longer constraining, I could sense an ever so slightly movement of the form but only upward...no room outward. As you might be able to see in the photos, the 34 foot long form slipped upward. This was only possible because I used this Form Release product. Had I not used it, I suspect I was going to need to dig a significant portion of this out with a pick axe and shovel. I was dreading that possibility.

Easy to use for cement forms
Worked as advertised. We put two coats on our lumber cement form, and the form released without issue. Easy to use (we sprayed the wood and also used a cloth to coat some of the metal.)

Spray It, Pour It, Release ItโNow Watch That Concrete Slip Out Like Magic
This concrete form release spray works so smoothly that removing a finished piece from the mold almost feels hypnotic. Spray the mold evenly, pour the concrete, let it cure, and watch the finished piece release without the usual pulling, prying, bargaining, or questioning your life choices. The convenient spray formula makes it easy to apply a light, consistent coating to concrete forms and molds. The 28-ounce bottle provides a useful amount for making stepping stones, decorative planters, garden ornaments, pavers, countertops, and other cast-concrete projects. It helps reduce sticking while protecting the details and edges of the finished piece. I especially appreciate how much time and frustration this release agent can save. A little preparation makes cleanup easier and helps molds remain reusable for future projects. It is a practical product, performs as expected, and offers good value for moneyโbecause the concrete should leave the mold, not move in permanently and start receiving mail.

I couldnโt get it to work!
It doesnโt work! And itโs messy: the spray goes everywhere! Oh yeah, I soaked the inside of my form until it pooled in the bottom and it acted like glue instead of a release product!

Good, but to runny
I wish is was a little thicker to cover the vertical form and stay. I guess it does the job, but some knockouts have gotten stuck in the form.

Works well
Works very well. I used it on a wood mold used to make concrete planter pots.

Worked well for me.
This release worked great for me. I was initially concerned about it being water based, but it allowed my forms to release without any issues.

Release Agent
The product requires a slightly thicker coat and must be let cure longer than the last product I used, however, overall I am very pleased with this product.
