Save your time and money buying those cheap OBD readers and get this!
Over the years of doing DIY on my vehicles I have bought several £10 - £30 OBD II readers and admittedly they have served there purpose, but recently I have been having brake problems on my Porsche Boxster which I have been slowly diagnosing a wheel at time with a multi meter and getting no where. Then the Renault Van showed an ABS warning light and so I thought it was time to upgrade my equipment and save many hours. I wasn't at all disappointed! The day I took delivery I was able to fix the van, identify the Porsche problem and even diagnose a problem on my wife's seat Leon and reset it's MIL light. Since then I have lent it to a friend for him to fix the ABS on an Audi TT. This tool is versatile, simple to use and extremely effective. The time alone I have saved has paid for this tool and I have only had it a few days!I strongly recommend it to any DIYer as a tool to keep in your garage for when that day comes! Save yourself the time and hassle and get straight to the problem.

Very disappointed with the Autel MaxiLink ML 619
Very disappointed with the Autel MaxiLink ML 619. I used it on an A6 Audi 2006 model with an ABS warning light on the dash and it could not read any fault codes. The Audi garage scanned it and found a faulty wheel speed sensor. Later I tried it on a 2015 Vauxhall Antara and it does not even list the Antara under its Vauxhall section. In any case, it only covers Vauxhalls up to 2012 so useless again.I did update the unit as soon as I purchased it. I followed the Quick Reference Guide and went to the Autel.com web siteSupport and Updates / Firmware and Downloads / Update Client. There was no link for the ML 619 Code Reader, the nearest one was for the AL319 / 419 / 519 / 439 / 539 and MS 609 Code Readers so I used it. Downloaded Maxi Link II V 1.04 and installed on my Windows 7 64-bit PC. When I launched it, however, there was no link for the ML 619. I registered on the US web site, which correctly recognised my device as ML619 but updates were only available for the following:AL301 / MS609 / AL319 / AL419 / AL519 / AL609 / AL609EU / AL619 / AL619EUDoes Autel identify the ML 619 the same as the AL 619? If so WHY???

Simple to use, clear to read and very useful
Bought this to diagnose an airbag fault I had on a Nissan Navara. It worked perfectly and told me what needed to replaced, in this case the airbagMy local garage wanted £75+VAT to run the same diagnostics, so it was a no brainer to purchase this instead.Since buying it I've used it a couple of other times, and just this week to help a friend who's engine emissions light had come on and didn't know why. It's simple to use and has a nice clear colour screen. It doesn't have all of the functions of a fully blown OBD reader, but for the basics and the price it's really good.

Great little OBDII scanner at a great price, with some minor annoyances!
For the home car enthusiast this is a great scanner for the price, as it includes ABS and SRS code scanning which is sadly missing in most other scanners at this price point. However, updating the scanner software is a major pain, as the manufacturer requires you to have an account and the process is unwieldy to say the least. You have to connect the scanner to the cart, check the about page and 'this is important', record the scan tools serial number and the associated password! Install the Maxi PC software suite to your PC, then remove the SD card from the device and using an adapter insert it into your PC. Run the software, then enter the information recorded from the About page of the scan tool! Only then can you update the software on the SD card!. As the unit has a USB port, why, oh why you can't just connect it to the PC and update I don't know. This method is stupidity at a high level! Other than this though, it's a great tool. Maybe the manufacturer will have an Eureka moment and fix the stupid update method.

Just Rubbish. Don't waste your time I just got a refund but what is the point.
This unit was used on a Merc c350 CDI 2011 with ABS/ASP sensor issue. It said no faults found so I took the car to the local garage for a test at £ 25.00 and they found 8 related faults all stemming from a left front ABS sensor. Once I replace the sensor (easy) all lights extinguished on their own.I thought that buying a fairly expensive unit would be a good idea I was wrong and after Autel UK told me that these are cheap Chinese units and where nothing to do with them, I put it strait in the post back to Amazon But still wasted my time.

Garage diagnosis in your hand.
After sending back a lesser unit that wouldn’t connect to a Mini Cooper roadster, I purchased this item with srs and abs functionality.. although dearer but still sub £100 it has already proven itself admirably in diagnosing correctly a known issue on the Mini Cooper. This model has a full database of car makes and specific models installed unlike some others even from this maker that allow one specific car make installation with others available at a fee per download. Works great.. easy to use.. no brainer.

Check Compatibility before purchase.
Easy to use but for me will not reset SRS on 2002 Volvo S40. “Function not Supported”. Also, registration on the website (for updates) doesn’t work. I will return the item.

Removed airbag warning light on my Audi A4 2005 to pass mot, found error codes too.
It has done what I wanted it to do, I had an airbag warning light on my Audi A4 2005. It has removed the warning light to pass mot. I also got the error code to do research on the issue. It also has connected to my dads Renault espace and my brothers Nissan x trail. The only thing is the menu has lots of options which dont work. So it is a bit of a basic tool, just does engine, and airbag codes, might do brake codes but not sure.

Fa il suo dovere! Molto soddisfatto!
Molto soddisfatto!
