Bamboo is like a grass so when its cut it re-grows from the root unlike trees that once cut the stump and the root systems are dead. Bamboo requires no fertilisers to help it grow, just sunshine and water. The more you cut bamboo, the better it grows. Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, odour resistant and hypo-enic. It's kinder to the skin and unlike recycled tissue is doesn't contain any de-inking agents or traces of BPA. Sustainable, Natural, Hypoenic How did you come up with the idea for this product? The business was inspired by a trip to China in December 2015 when we discover that farmers' annually harvested bamboo went to waste. By transforming this bamboo into luxury tissue products, we are able to create a truly sustainable, skin friendly tissue alternative, at the same time give farmers extra income to look after local eco system and contribute to creating a more sustainable form of forestry. What makes your product special? It's not only environmental friendly, but also truly kind to skin, at the same time soft and luxurious What has been the best part of your startup experience? Turning a concept into reality is truly challenging but also very exciting. We met many people along the way, nominated for multiple awards, secured domestic orders and our first international order all in very short peoriod of time. However the best so far is that we both discovered our purposes of living in this wonderful world. We love to be this kind of people who are game changers and who make this world a better place.
