Can this be programmed to work only on specific days of the week? I am only allowed to water 2 days/week (California drought).

Yes Leauna, it can be programmed to operate any day of the week and you can even have it water twice on your selected days (say before dawn and again at dusk) to minimize evaporation loss and maximize absorption by the plants.

is it supposed to just connect to hose and work after set up? Mine doesnt stop any water flow no matter the setting.

Yes. Once connected to the faucet then a hose on the out flow and you have the batteries in and settings configured it should only allow water flow once the string is reached and opens the valve. It should not flow freely through the valve unless the strings allow it. Hope this helps

How many hours of watering can this be set for?

The only time frame I can find is on the Water Manually (for timed period)Press WATER NOW button once to start watering. Watering begins in a few seconds. Does this have a time log? Cause im testing it to water now about a min no water still comes out or is my device broken? Should water come out readily

My experience is it takes 10 - 30 seconds before water starts to flow in the manual mode. When the valve is open water comes out with as much pressure as the hose bib had. I have forgotten to turn the hose bib completely open which defeated the whole timer system. If your sure you have water pressure to the timer it might be batteries, set incorrectly or malfunctioning.

Achtung: Ausführung mit Messing-Gewinde leider nur mit US-Gewinde (GHT)

Pro: + die Gewinde sind aus Messing und damit wesentlich langlebiger als bei der EU-Variante, die es nur mit Plastik gibt + sehr einfache Bedienung + sehr lange Batterielaufzeit + funktioniert zuverlässig + keine App erforderlich Contra: - Achtung: Das Produkt mit Metallgewinde gibt es nur als US-Ausführung (Warum???)!!! Die Gewinde sind nicht mit EU-Gewinden kompatibel (GHT vs. BSP) - Wer sich das Produkt dennnocht kauft, muss mind. einen Adapter kaufen und die gibt es im Prinzip nicht!!! Was man trotzdem machen kann: Auf der Oberseite einen GHT/GHT-Doppelnippel (ca. 15-20 Eur) einschrauben, dann oben und unten einen 3/4-Zoll-Schlauch aufsetzen und mit einer Schlauchschelle festschrauben. Dadurch ist auch der Grund für die häufigste Beschädigung der Uhr beseitigt: die starre Befestigung am Wasserhahn. (Wenn das Produkt nicht flexibel/per Schlauch am Hahn befestigt wird, kann das Plastik vom Ventil schneller brechen!!!)

Leaks like a sieve from the inlet connection

For some reason this water timer leaks from the water inlet area around the join between the body and the black ring used for securing it to the tap - I wish we'd never bought it!
