DR Hi-Def Neon Green Electric 7 St Ex Heavy, / Strings (NGE711)

I got these strings for a guitar that was always more of a display piece, instead of a daily player. In their defense, they look fantastic.After tuning it up - I'm not going to rule out the possibility of playing! - which takes an hour or so with a Floyd Rose tremolo, I let it sit overnight so they could stretch properly. However, they can't hold their tune, which is more impressive than annoying, again, Floyd Rose.The coating is a matte green, but still very vibrant. Under stage lighting, they really pop, that's for sure.But! Don't get too excited, because the coating takes away all of the brightness and clarity you normally get with new strings. Furthermore, the sustain went out the window. They have the tonality of bass strings that haven't been changed in about four years.Honestly, use these for aesthetic purposes only.

Very pleased, the color is a super bright neon green. It was simple to put them on. They sound great, no different and any other standard strings. The quality is good, I love the look I will be buying these again.

Strings were delivered promptly. They really do look bright green, but time will tell if they stay that way. Now onto the bad. This is nowhere near the "heavy" set of 11s it claims to be. It is so much lighter, in fact, that I may have to get my guitar set up or just restring it as it is set up for 11s. Also, the high B string is distinctly yellow, not green and it ruins the effect.

Look sweet sound very good..color fades if play often.cld be little lower priced.

These strings look great on my Ibanez 7 string! I set a black light on stage and they lit up like crazy! They play just like the regular strings I was used to as well. I highly recommend the DR strings!

Look amazing on my guitar, they don't sound amazing but they don't sound terrible either, and they pretty much just feel like strings, so no complaints. Been on a couple of months now and they're wearing fine

Its a very nice set for one GIG, but for long.After 4 days (studying once a day and then one rehearsal) the green sheathing started to come of the E .01 string on the 12th threat. The timbre is also a bit compromised and this set has a deeper tone and all mid and high freq are audibly suppressed.Once again it is really good for the looks, but as quality of sound and endurance I can't give good feedbacks.
