Perfect for protecting outdoor electronics and chargers
I purchased this enclosure to house a NOCO Genius GEN5X2 battery maintainer mounted on the side of my military MEP-803A generator, and it has exceeded my expectations. The clear hinged cover lets me easily check the charger status LEDs without opening the box, and thereโs plenty of room inside for the charger and cable routing. The enclosure feels solid and well-made, with a good weather seal and sturdy latches. After mounting it outdoors in direct sun, it has held up great and keeps the charger protected from the elements while still allowing adequate cable management through the bottom. I also appreciate how clean and professional the finished installation looks. It doesnโt look like a cheap plastic project boxโit gives the entire setup a polished appearance. If youโre looking for an enclosure for battery maintainers, Wi-Fi equipment, controllers, or other outdoor electronics, I would definitely recommend this one. Iโd buy it again without hesitation.

Great for a pool light transformer/controller.
This box works perfectly for a pool light transformer controller box. I was having difficulty finding a place to put this pool light controller, but it had to be out of the water, not in a metal box (or the remote wouldn't work), and out of direct sunlight. This was the perfect solution. It is well made, waterproof, adjustable for different devices, and has most of the hardware included in the package. I did use some tapcons to get it attached to a block wall. It seems durable as it is fairly thick. It's nice that the cover is transparent as I can see what's in there, but I do wish there was one with a tinted cover to block some sunlight. I may have to add some film tinting. Installation was easy and lots of options of sizes. Would definitely recommend.

GREAT enclosure! Can probably accept internal solar panels! Meshtastic, Arduino, Raspberry Pi...
This is an excellent enclosure! My use case: I needed a weatherproof box to (1)Hold a homemade choke coil (two 240-43 torroids bifiliar wrapped with 14 turns of 14 awg insulated TNNT wire- so a *sizeable* component); (2)Mount this coil on its outer diameter face, "upright,"; (3)Accept a panel-mount HF connector; (4)Allow passage through for two 14AWG wires; (5)Connect, and more importantly, carefully arrange wires for maximum performance and minimum negative electromagnetic / RF issues; (6)Waterproof, as it would be mounted outside of a building building; (7)Material had to be non-conductive due to use with a radio transmission system; and, (8)Be stout enough to handle some strain on the two 15 AWG wires. Some of this is run of the mill, but the combination is slightly specialized. Well this box does all of that, and with its clear cover I can check to be sure that temperature changes don't cause condensation, as this will be hit with direct sunlight for most of the day, starting mid-morning when the temps are cool. (Also, I get to show off my homemade choke!) Being clear, the lid allows viewing of status lights. It is crystal-clear, so small displays would be perfectly visible through it. If you're a tinkerer using Raspberry Pi or Arduino... this box is an excellent choice for the clear lid AND flexibility in mounting using the mounting plate!! In fact, this clear lid would almost certainly allow the charging of a small solar panel! (Meshtastic guys, this is your large enclosure!!!) This plastic drills like a dream, no brittle, cheap crap like you find in some other boxes. It drills like butter with both a twist drill and step drill. This allowed the three penetrations to be easily and accurately drilled. And, the high frequency, panel-mount socket has four #4 mounting holes, so there were actually 7 holes drilled- 4 mounting screw holes surrounding the one socket hole and two sealed pass through lug holes. The close proximity of the mounting screws and socket were so easy to drill accurately- even with a handheld drill. The plastic is thick enough to remain rigid under light strain. The perforated mounting panel inside the box had holes perfectly sized for (very) Small zip ties. This means that if I need to make adjustments after testing, I can easily re-mount the components and wires as needed, without having to drill or deal with previously drilled holes. Because you can use zip ties, it makes mounting your components quick and easy for this type of project. This piece is also strong, with integrated standoffs to ensure it stays parallel to the box back and front, with minimal flex. The box seal is good, and reminds me of other high-end boxes I've used to carry electronics and keep them safe from water, dirt, and moisture. You can tell a good seal when you see it. The bail clips might be the only negative- just be careful if you need to open and close the box frequently, and help the clips by putting aome force on the door. They are definitely adequate, just use some common sense and they'll continue to perform well and keep the box sealed. The mounting tabs that came with the box were a really nice addition, as they prevent the need make four holes through the rear of the box, and seal the interface between the box and building. While it would work fine, (using the easily-located bosses inside the box -the ones used for the same screws the tabs mount with,) having the tabs allows for far easier and faster mounting position adjustment. (Note that the tabs mount with the circular cup towards the box. There were no instructions with the item- but none were really needed.) I definitely recommend this box!!! I almost wish I had another project to work on that was more complicated- it opens up a lot of possibilities!! (I may upload photos of my finished work here later.)

First one and will buy again
I love this box. I was hesitant at first because I've not had great luck with all things from this brand but I will say being that this one for the size i bought would be in the upper price range and there is a reason. The latches are awesome. I cannot overstate how firm, heavy duty they feel and I hope last the harsh colorado winters. It's spring now so this box will see some stuff to get ready for winter and I'll post along the way. The transparent window is also really cool. I wasn't sure the extra cost would be worth it but it was. To my surprise it's slightly tinted it seems so and my use case is a water proof and mobile solar charge station. I'm a diy maker and I get a brain fart idea and I try to piece things together to make it professional. This box makes my diy stuff professional. The quality of the plastic is thick and durable. I have very shakey hands due to injury and I already dropped those box from a good distance and it held up. Like really well. I don't have a need to test that any further as this will mostly be hanging somewhere but still in the elements with an occasional accidental drop. I love that I can also remove the peg board in the back of the box so that I can prep my wires and electronics to fit perfectly without fiddling in the box while prototyping. Will post pics. Love this item. Will order a few more after winter if they hold up.

This is really nice for weatherproof where there's no danger of impact damage.
Over the years, I've used many of these on projects and have never been disappointed. The clear cover allows you to see indicator/pilot lights visual displays. For instance, I have outdoor equipment that requires trickle charging for the batteries. I installed a GFCI receptacle in this box with an on/off switch, wired to a weatherproof cord to plug into an outdoor receptacle. The provided fittings allow a tight seal for both the cord and the charger wires. I can easily see the charger's display through the clear cover. This box is plastic, so you need to be conscious to use it where there's no danger of it being impacted and damaged.

Can't beat it
I needed an outdoor power supply for my fuel pump, and this box was the perfect size and shape. It was easy to mount, ruggedly built, and keeps the weather and bugs out. The price was very good. I work for a company that occasionally uses these type of enclosures, and we pay and charge a whole lot more for the same thing. This is certainly a good value.

Good product, it worked as advertised. I am happy with it.
7/31/26 Good enclosure. I built a control panel using this enclosure today. It is fast, cost effective and fast shipping. i build custom control panels for smokers that people build, cold plunges, pond management, boilers, etc. These are fast for me, no drilling the back plane, jsut screw the componets to it. I have bought, built and installed several of these in different sizes over the past two years and they have held up well. The PVC is fast to work with, and work well in many applications. I use them for the hunters that install meat coolers for aging their harvest. Good product at a fair price.
