Forget the big names
I've got Dewalt, Makita and Festool gear. I personally don't like the Dewalt kit, I know everyone raves about it but I find it clunky, expensive and build quality does not reflect the high cost. Their support is also rubbish when something goes wrong. Had a battery failed and took a month to get it replaced under warranty. I was always a big fan of Makita however I think their newer kit lacks the robustness of old. However of the three brands I've mentioned it's probably the one I would go to ..... until I tried Ryobi. Festool is lovely kit but eye watering expensive so a real personal choice whether you wish to justify the extra cost for something that's refined and comfortable. So recently I tried Ryobi. I was drawn in by some positive reviews, the versatility of using the same battery across the range, and a good warranty. I'm impressed by the features, the price and in use it is light and lives up to the job. Registering the warranty was really easy. So far been a joy to use and I will definitely buy more.

Boom and the screw is gone!
The media could not be loaded. First things first, buy this driver you won’t regret it.But in case you’d like more proof; here we go.This was my first dedicated impact driver, having relied for years on my combi drill and getting fed up of wasting battery and time swapping bits over. The quick release mechanism is awesome and provides entertainment when changing bits to see how far you can eject your current bit across the room. Personal record ~1m.I was initially not sold on the need to press a button to swap between modes thinking it overly fancy and I was concerned I’d forget what mode I had left it in and end up driving a screw clear through the workpiece and bench into the ground (I’m exaggerating of course but it is damn torquey!). But the progress trigger is very good and controllable in any mode.It is very powerful, scarily so in fact. The clutch is very loud in every mode and you can certainly feel it kicking (not as half baked as my old drill). But this does allow you to impress onlookers with a game of now you see the screw and now you don’t.It comes with a number of attachments including an adapter for sockets. Sadly this doesn’t appeared to be hardened steel and whilst it has survived the light use on bolts so far I’ve opted for a dedicated set of suitable sockets.Plenty of torque whether you’re using it on screws, bolts or like me as a last resort to find something with enough umph to put large holes in a van roof

Make a impact
Brilliant impact driver nice and light even with the big 5 battery slotted in. Compact in use the analogue trigger great for how quick or slow you want to use. The light making visibility so much better for finding those little screw heads and the speed settings are brilliant for adjusting what surfaces you be screwing in to ie plasterboard soft wood hard wood brick concrete ect. A very good addition to your tool kit and versatile practical screwdriver. Also very comfortable in the hand and muted on vibration compared to drill driver.

Simply the best brand and great impact driver
What a great buy, This little impact driver is so powerful, easily drives 6" screws straight through wood without predrilling. Saved me so much time and effort. Highly recommended.

One of the best tools I own
I'm not sure how I didn't buy one of these a long while ago.Punchy little tool with more than enough torque for most DIY jobs, probably not quite enough to remove car wheel nuts, but that's what the impact wrench is for.Makes very light work of driving screws into all sorts of material where you'd struggle with a regular drill.

No complaints
Bought this as a replacement for my son's previous Ryobi impact driver which he's had about 7 years now and done loads of work with.Just one thing I would suggest is keep it serviced.
