Can these shears be re-sharpened?

I vrey much doubt it, they have serrated cutting edges which would make sharpening difficult. That said, I have had mine for several years and they are still sharp.

The spring does not work on my shears. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have used mine quite a bit and haven't had a problem but you do have to make sure that it's in the correct position. If you don't reassemble the shears correctly after they've been washed the spring doesn't work. I have to get my husband to assemble mine as I can't get the hang of how they go together - but that's my problem, not the product's.
