Front Runner Toyota 4Runner (5th Gen) Ladder

Easy installation and built very well! Added to the look of my wife’s fourrunner trd pro and gives her the ability to get to the rack

This ladder requires full assembly and did not fit well on the hatch. I had to return.

Very pleased with the ladder. Extremely solid. I’m just over 200lbs and I can put all my weight on it and it feels really steady. Happy with the design, very rugged, looks great in person. The angular aesthetic looks better to me than the more tubular Gobi ladder. And over $100 cheaper! Installation notes: Be aware that this will require you to make permanent alterations to your truck— 3 x 7mm holes at the bottom inside of hatch to mount the bottom of the ladder. This certainly lends a lot of stability and the manual makes sure you get it right. The ladder steps use thread creating screws to attach to the frame. They are long and thick, so I’m not worried about durability, but having pre-threaded holes would have made me a lot more comfortable. This could be by design for better strength. I’m no engineer. Everything went fine but I was nervous. Only small dislike: 1) Installation manual calls for anti-rust and anti-seize sprays. Such a small amount is needed, would be nice a tiny packets were included, even if it cost $5-10 more. Overall, extremely happy!

Great addition to my 4RUNNER. Just go slow for intal to make sure you put it together correctly. Instructions are tricky.

Easy instal even with no instructions or part labels. However, the ladder is just enough to have one foot on. It actually makes me feel a little less stable fidgeting with stuff on the roof with all my weight on one leg. I maybe just didn't think about the dimensions so I'll keep it for now.

I recieve the product and saw it was to small than that it looks in the picture so I started a return I returned it back and didn’t got all my money back they said it was “damaged” when it really isn’t I bet they got another ladder just to no give me all my money back, cause I didn’t even install the ladder to any of my cars, I couldn’t make any scratches to it, I just open the box saw it was very small and out it back and started the return cause didn’t like it for the price I paid for it it doesn’t worth the price don’t buy from them 👎🏻

This ladder put a notch in the top of my 4Runner days after I installed it. It worked perfectly for bit, but eventually the sticky part that adheres to the car came free and rubbed a notch out of the top of the back door. I’ve installed different ladders on other models of 4Runners and not had this issue. If you are looking for a latter it might be worth while looking elsewhere.
