I’ve had the pool for a month and it has been wonderful.First, I highly recommend the sand filter as opposed to the regular filter that comes with other pools. It is worth the money. This pool package 18’x9’ came with the sand filter so all the tubing was the correct sizing which was important to me as I don’t want to have to go out and get extra of what I need. I purchased the $5 pool sand at Home Depot (50 lb bag) and had way more than needed. I placed the leftover in a 5 gal bucket with the lid for use when it needs changing out but I don’t see that in the foreseeable future. It was the correct sand needed for this pump and was the best price.Second, I added the attachable skimmer (separate purchase) that hooks on to the side and it works great with this pool. It was easy to attach and I can add some of the pool chemicals there instead of directly into the pool. I’ve also not noticed any issues with this skimmer being in the way or being moved around like others have noticed.Third, I took the advise of another reviewer and purchased the padding from harbor freight for under the pool. It is about 8.99 for four pieces that fit together like a puzzle. I bought 10 for this pool and ended up only needing 9 packages. I used the last package for under the ladder on the outside and under the pool pump. These were absolutely the best. It is extremely comfortable to the feet inside the pool. I cleared and leveled our area but as I learned with a past pool experience any small branch or rock under the liner will be felt by your feet inside the pool when thousands of gallons push the liner down. I used tape to keep the cushions together and had no problems.Finally, the ladder is a bit flimsy. We don’t have anyone over 170 lbs in our family so we didn’t get a bigger ladder but I have had others over who are and I was a bit nervous but it worked fine with someone over 220. I do intend to get sandbags or something to hold the ladder in place since it moves around a lot and is annoying but it is narrow, so if you have hips you will have to straddle the ladder into and out of the pool or risk getting stuck. Also, we purchased this pool due to the dimensions of our yard so it turns out to be great for little mini laps. I love that. But it is rather tall so keep in mind if you have no deck you will only have that narrow ladder for a means of getting in and out of this pool.

Proudly say that two 5' women put this pool up, if we can do it you can too. We took breaks to go instead and watch the DVDs then came out to tackle each stage, it was all very easy and straightforward. This is a HUGE pool that takes awhile to fill up.Please note1) Even though it is 18x9, make sure you add at least 3 feet to each side when laying out your area.2) I put mine on a fairly level concrete patio, the holes for the plumbing are a little high, make sure that the filter holes are on the lower side if you have a little uneven leveling3) Lay the liner out in the sun, unfold it in the sun and let it sit for a little bit. This softens it up a little to be able to move around.4) Look at filter hole placement, we layed it out and was so focused on the next setups we nearly forgot to turn the pool around.5) There is this extra little piece that has a small screw end and a black cap, it goes on at the larger filter ring on the outside opening, we couldn't find in the instructions.If the hoses that connect to the Y leaks put a couple of layers of plumbers tape on it.6) Watch youtube videos of the sand filters7) Sand for the sand filters can be found at home depot or pool stores8) You can call to have water delivered to your pool, if you are on city water and fill with the hose call the city after you get your bill to have the sewer water portion removed from your bill.

Assembly is tedious. Spacing the ground supports are placing them is a bit difficult. Definitely a two or three person install. The cleaner does not work as suction is suspect. I had to go out and purchase a robotic pool cleaner.

What a fantastic pool for the price! It was easy to assemble and is much sturdier than I ever thought it would be. I didn’t think we’d really be able to hold onto the sides that much and I was shocked they are extremely sturdy. The assembly was quite easy the most important part and I can’t stress this enough make sure if you’re doing it yourself and you don’t know how to level the ground pay somebody because it needs to be nice and level and everything else falls into place perfectly. We hired somebody to level ours because we knew we wouldn’t be able to do that precisely. We put it up in about an hour and a half or two with a couple of friends. It’s easier to watch a YouTube video to put this particular one up then reading the directions. Make sure that you really only fill the pool with 1 inch of water and walk around to get the wrinkles out before filling it any further it will become really really smooth on the bottom. The only downfall is that the filter does not have the best suction it’s fine if you clean your pool often which I do however if you’re only cleaning it once a week I suggest getting a much more powerful filter.

Great above ground pool. Sturdy construction. Easy set up but you need 2 people because of the size of the pool. The sand filter that came with it is excellent. Usually filters with pools arent good, but this filter is awesome. Everything you need is included. Ladder is not the best it's not real sturdy so we built a deck with steps. Intex also sells a pool cleaning kit here on Amazon that is not exspensive and has everything you need to clean the pool and fits the pools intakes perfectly because it's the same brand.

All the kids in the neighborhood are jealous because our pool is the deepest above-ground. I can't say it was super easy to set up, but I guess it depends what your yard is like and if you have the proper materials. We had a bit of a slope, so we had to grade it with stone dust and make a pad for it, then we had to cut some wood to use underneath the legs. Everything else was pretty simple after we purchased the sand for the filter. One thing that we loved is that the Dolphin E10 pool vacuum we got goes right up the sides of the pool and then back down, cleaning the sides also. Bonus!
