Pretty but inaccurate measurements

I was pleased when I pulled this out of the packaging – it was actually quilted, the ivory was a very pretty color, and it was a lovely bedspread. Unfortunately, the measurements on the bedspread were very inaccurate. I purchased a California king for my regular king size bed and it was not large enough. I pulled out my tape measure and it was 10 inches shorter than advertised in one direction, and 8 inches shorter in the other direction. The California king might work for a queen size bed but it was far too small for my regular king.
