No different then the next gen but this has a cool retro Nintendo look. It's small though. Should of kept it the same size as original. Then could of backset the usb cordless remote connectors so you can close the hatch, and put more in it. Work right away. BUT when you first turn it on it seems like it's not working. It just take a few minutes to turn on. Needs a faster processer. Everything connects right up. Usb connectors in remote battery spot.

nothing worked
product was returned. Despite hours of online research and watching You Tube Videos. I could not get even one game to work as intended. Titles of games were there. When the game was loaded the artwork was there but then in all cases there was no successful way of play ANY game. The included directions were all but unreadable. YouTube videos showed that some games could be played - I could not replicate what they showed. One huge takeaway here: Why is Amazon selling a product that is violating every copywrite law that exists. Do these companies that sell these devices have licenses for the games that are on the device. The answer is certainly NO. Isn't Amazon as the seller (or distributor) responsible to obey copywrite laws??? When asking Google the question - it was universal that the games on these devices are ILLEGAL. In my case none of them worked so maybe there isn't a legal problem after all. The good news is that Amazon refunded the purchase very quickly and with an easy pocedue to return the product using the local Staples store - the return was unbelievably easy!

DECADES of gaming in this superb little box.
Years later, and Iโm still discovering amazing new obscure awesome games on this little device. For the nostalgic middle aged folks who grew up with Atari 2600 and NES, this is a nostalgia ride like no other.

Great Console, Terrible Controllers.
The device itself is pretty good. It's rather light, which is to be expected given how small it is, but it comes with everything you need, and the software is exactly what is promised. I did have to force the software update since it would download but not apply using the normal update procedure, hopefully that's not a recurring issue. The big area where it's let down, and the reason for it not getting a 5 star review, is the fact that the controllers they ship with it are legitimate garbage. They barely stay connected in any consistent manner and feel extremely light and flimsy. Given that this is a $100+ device, I'd expect better. Luckily, it seems like Bluetooth controllers are supported, so I'm getting a better quality one delivered, which will hopefully improve things. But as it stands, the lack of a reliable controller makes it very frustrating to play. Such a shame given the quality of the product in pretty much every other regard.

Mini box with mighty capability
Fantastic bit of Raspberry Pi kit. System is stable and speedy, and performs superbly, even during prolonged gaming sessions. Of 107,000+ games, even once you weed out duplicates and non-working ROMs, you still safely have 20,000+ games, which is more than plentiful for a retro gaming lifetime. Add to that having a nimble, useful, all-in-one Android TV box, and this is easily worth the minimal investment. Might buy a second for a friend. But the biggest takeaway is that it is a gem. Definitely recommend this to any retro gaming fan.

Not for fighting games and a lot of jumping.
The controller lags in game play.

Best emulator I bought so far
I have been buying random boxes for a while now. This is the first box that plays all the arcade games correctly or still playable. Golden axe revenge of death adder has a big issue with either playing too slow or graphics issues. In arcade classics you will experience the graphics issue, how ever in FB Alpha holding down the game select button will take you to a sub menu where you adjust the emulator and the game runs almost perfect. You will have to mess with it a bit but it work good when you do. As for controllers I'm using a wired Xbox 360 joystick. It works really good. I also used a mayflash stick and it worked. My X Arcade tank stick had issues. I haven't tried an encoder board yet. I bought the 256 gb. system so that is what I'm basing this reveiw off of. I don't play much N64 so I can't say how good it runs. I played Rampage World Tour and it worked good enough. Some games of note would be Sega Saturn symphony of the night, Narc arcade, NBA Jams arcade,Primal Rage arcade,Zombies Revenge arcade, and Dynamite Cop Dakota 2. My only real disappointment was no Rhondo of Blood for TG16 cd or PSP. Other than that it is pretty solid.

Excellent little box. Over 107000 games on it. Yes there will be loads of duplicates across different systems but with that many there are more than enough to keep you going. Everything worked straight out of the box. Haven't found any games that didn't work so far and have only had to change one emulator to get things to run smoother. So far this is looking like an excellent buy for the money.

Hi folks, I did not have the correct adaptor/plug with the console. It was not a UK plug and despite me getting another lead with the correct pin to plug into the console, it didnt even come on. I wonder if anyone else in the UK experienced this issues? I have asked for a refund and i do hope i can get a replacement. Thank you.

For mainline consoles the newest one is the dreamcast, so no gamecube, xbox, or ps2. There is a very small limit on the dreamcast games, something like ten. No starlancer, or toy commander, skies of arcadia, or a handful of others that I was looking for. It has the n64 on here with 4 emulators, but they are way worse than the dreamcast, which actually works fairly well. The n64 emulator also does not allow save states which was rather surprising to me. I got the 256 gig one, so I was expecting more, I guess I will now have to see if I can add some of this stuff on my own, which for the price they are charging should not be happening. Honestly if nothing else it should have the full dreamcast library especially since nobody is publishing most of those games anymore.
