Everything comes to she who waits...
I'll make a plea - buy Alessi to use! I've amassed quite a lot of it now and can say with confidence that there's no need to be too precious about it. The build quality on this creamer, for example, is great. It's a very solid item that should last a lifetime. The beauty of it is its wide base - very difficult to tip over and well balanced in use - plus a truly iconic look. In the 1980s, I would've done anything for this jug! The only thing in my life then that was pale blue and dark red was the remnants of a 1950s kitchen in a thirties' house me and my husband bought. Then pale blue and red was synonymous with the lath and plaster ceiling above the kitchen periodically showering bits of plaster on the spag bol. This creamer was a distant dream. Could be why they call Alessi 'The Dream Factory' perhaps? The thing is, this Michael Graves' creamer is so worth having. So, now it's 2020 and we have Amazon - Wish List it! And remember - everything comes to he/she who waits...
