Product came on time, took about 30-45 minutes to install (i had already watched youtube videos). It's a serious upgrade, i'd go as far as calling it life altering. I installed it on a 2014 f150, but the videos i watched didn't have screws in the same places and some parts i gently pried back (if i remember correcly, driver side lower panel did not need to come off). Sometimes i use android auto, sometimes i use Ford+alexa, sometimes i use nothing at all. Regardless it works 1000 times better than the sync two and it never askeds me for line number because it messed up someone's name, that's worth $700 in itself. If i had another ford with sync 2, no doubt it would get installed.

Very easy to install but Apple CarPlay doesn’t work, this was the only reason for purchasing this.

Quick and easy install on a 2014 Ford F-450 that did not have nav. Microsoft actually did something right, the sync 3 is amazing, and the Nav is way better than my 2017 GMC Yukon Denali. I did not receive the tools or gloves with my kit but there was a note inside explaining this. I've only been using it for two days but I am blown away at how much better it is. All functions including siriusXM, climate, seat heat/cool etc are working flawlessly. Given the cost to buy the screen and APIM the price is also quite reasonable. I would highly recommend to anyone!!!

At first the installation was pretty simple, the very sparse instructions provided did outline how to remove the panels from my car to remove the old module. with any installation of car electronics, the thing that takes the most time os figuring out how to get access to remove the old unit and install the new one. This was no different, and after a bit of tinkering, I was able to remove my old Sync, and get the new one installed. The one major hiccup was the media hub. The supplied hub had one USB connection, my old OEM hub had two. I picked the right one to connect, as everything powered on as it should have. The seller was very good about answering questions via text message. I am happy with the upgrade to Sync 3 in my Explorer, its a night and day difference!

I ordered this a couple weeks ago. Asked amazon chat how the seller would get a hold of me for my VIN so that it could arrive preprogrammed. Chat said seller would contact via phone or email. Never got an email or attempt to contact over phone. Amazon messages showed an attempt to contact me, but I never check messages. Why would I? Finally did a week after purchase and got some weird auto populated message indicating they had already printed a shipping label, and suddenly had messages from them asking for my VIN. I sent them my VIN and asked them to please take the additional time to preprogram so that I didn't have to give them control of a laptop for hours and sit and wait for them to update/tweek the sync 3 AFTER I installed it into my truck. A little over a week later it arrived. No instructions. No QR code. No paperwork. Some of the items in pics and description were not included, but I appeared to have all the hardware needed so i installed. After it booted for the first time I noticed the software installed was a version from 07/2023, android auto doesn't work, my back up camera, remote start no longer work. I have no idea what they needed to "preprogram" before sending this device to me, but at this point it isn't an upgrade. It's the opposite. They've got 3 weeks to respond and fix this device before amazon won't take the return. I hope they do. We'll see .....

Had continuous problems with my sync 2 with navigation with the vehicle marker drifting off screen. Local Ford service was no help in fixing issue. Been shopping for the sync 3 for a while and went with this product. Very pleased with finally making decision after working with seller and tech support. The sync 3 replacement still had same issue with navigation as the sync 2. I was in contact with seller and informing of problem and main reason for updating was to fix this issue. Seller was very helpful and was able resolve issue. This was a huge relief!! I have had this installed in my 2013 Ford F150 for over a month and had no problems. Great upgrade to my truck. I Highly Recommend this product if you are looking to upgrade.

Update! The installation went well. I installed it in less than an hour after watching a video. Everything is working as it should. All of my original controls work as they promised. So far I'm super pleased with the upgrade. I haven't installed this upgrade yet but it arrived ahead of schedule (the advantage of ordering from a local business) and was packaged very nicely with good protection. The small tool kit was backorder but the seller was prompt to resolve this small issue. Communication regarding the toolkit was prompt and I was more than satisfied. If you want to upgrade your sync 2 to sync 3, consider this seller.

My Synch 2 navigation and Bluetooth went haywire so it was time to do the upgrade I had wanted for a while. The price was right and it was very easy to install. There was no documentation but YouTube provided the necessary instruction. I did have a problem with the navigation on the new unit but once I figured out how to contact the vendor (Amazon could improve that part) they helped me get it fixed. It was an issue related to my vehicle which my VIN did not reveal to the vendor. Overall I very positive experience.
