The media could not be loaded. Day 1 review: successfully cut several spuds with no issues. However, like other people's experiences with cutters like these, they're not perfect - you do still have to use a lot of your might to pass through all the potato (at least for Maris Pipers), even with the decent length arm for leverage. But it still saves you a lot of time and it's satisfying seeing a bunch of fries appear.I find it's a bit easier to apply a bit of force to get that initial bite/start digging into the potato, and then back it up to "take a run up" with the slider for maximum torque. The suction cups are solid though and it's a good thing as they're definitely necessary!Other than that, I'd recommend something with bristles for cleaning, so you can get to all the nooks & crannies like between the cutting parts and the gaps right below where the blades sit, where the bits & pieces seem to congregate!(I'll update this review if the lifespan meets its end)

Bought this one as it looked to be sturdiest available but it broke the first time I used it. Cut one potato fine, then broke on cutting second. The metal sheet at the bottom which should be flat, collapsed and bent making the machine totally unusable (shown in pictures). Sent back and refund given.

This chip cutter is brilliant its priced perfectly and it cuts through potatoes like butter and does a bowl full of chips in no time. It comes with two cutters which are also made with a great build quality and cleaning is easy by just undoing a bolt which as been perfectly made so you can undo it using your fingers

Really strong and mainly made from strong thickmetal unlike many other ones.

Although there was NO mention of this in the product description on Amazon, when I received this product after purchasing it, the box and instructions both stated very clearly that this chopper is NOT suitable for sweet potatoes and shouldn’t be used to try to cut them.So I sent it back, as that was exactly what I bought it for! It should have said it wasn’t suitable in the product description, because for almost £40 you would think it would be 👎🏻

It is incredibly difficult to press potatoes and is now in the back of the cupboard.I am by no means weak, but the effort to press these potatoes is in human unless they are very small.
