Sturdy, easy to clean mat
This mat is perfect for my 9 year old son who loves to paint but also makes a huge mess. This is big enough to have 2 8x11 sheets of paper on it. We squeezed the paint straight onto the mat at the top, where the holes are provided and rinsed the paint right off when we were done. The best part is the removable cup! So easy and convenient to remove the cup when you need to change the water or dump when you're all done. Price is perfect for the functionality of this mat! It's made from a thick silicone too, not flimsy at all.

Cup is magnetic (:
This makes painting less of a mess when it’s time to clean up since the material can’t get stained. I love that the cup is detachable unlike others I’ve seen on Amazon. Also nice and flat space in case I use a bigger paper/canvas. I would def recommend this one out of all of them.

Cup is removable
Best mat we have tried. The cup is removable, easier to fill and clean

It makes clean up easy
Having this really makes things easy for clean up after a kiddie paint session. I've been learning watercolors and my daughters have shown interest in watercoloring so I got them Crayola Watercolors. But my 3 year old artist will just rip through the paper with the amount of water and paint she uses. Having this silicon mat underneath really keeps the mess within the mat. I love having the little wells for when we switch over to acrylic paint. I love the magnet that is on the collapsable cup. It feels sturdy.

The best one
If you want a silicone craft mat, let me tell you why you should get this one. First, the cup is detachable. It hold securely but using two hands, it can be removed without spilling by first twisting it to break the magnetic bond, then pulling it off. Unless you use your craft mat right next to a sink, a detachable cup is a must, in my book. This isn't unique to this mat, as I have another mat that is very similar with the same type of removable cup, but it is far from universal. What is uniquely better about this one is what's on the sides of the cup: brush hangers! What's a brush hanger? It's those little holes that, after cleaning your brush, you can stick it through the hole where it catches on the thick part of the handle and allows the brush to dry with the bristles pointed down. This helps water drain out of the ferrule and prolongs the life of the brush. Now, if you're buying this for a kid who's using $0.30 paint brushes that you buy by the dozen, you might not care about getting 10% (total guess) longer life out of the brush, but if you're using $20+ sable brushes, and need a craft mat to paint on, this is the mat you should get. There are a couple flaws worth mentioning. First, that wonderful, amazing, detachable cup with the brush hangers doesn't fold as flat as those of other mats, so it's going to take up a tiny bit more room in storage when rolled up. Second, the rulers along the bottom and side are not accurate. The 19" ruler is about 1/4" off at the full 19". That's close enough that if you need to measure, say, 14" as opposed to 12 or 16, it's fine. If you need something to be exactly 10 1/8" to fit something measured by an accurate ruler, definitely don't use it. Despite these quibbles, I highly recommend this mat, even if the brush hangers are overkill now, because even if your little one (or you, I won't judge) is going through cheap brushes like they're going out of style now, you may have brushes worth preserving down the road, and this will treat them right.

I use it way more than I ever thought I would
I love this craft mat! Since I got it, it has been front and center on my desk. Because it's so versatile, I use it for numerous things. All of the little compartments and nubs that are made into the mat itself, were thoughtfully placed and come in handy all the time.It comes with a collapsible cup that has a magnet on the bottom to keep it in place while in use on the mat.I love to use this when I'm working with epoxy, and painting. Clean up is really quick and easy.. and it looks like new afterwards. It's bigger than others that I've seen, which gives you more work area.

Deeply creased
I have not used this product yet. My disappointment is the deep creases in the surface where it was folded. I am not sure if the creases will come out or not. I am debating about whether to return it and try again.

Clean up will never be the same
This is just the ticket for a creative artist, hobbyist, or both to have. After using it, I can confidently say that it is indispensable. It has the built in recessed small squares to make your own paint cakes in, or to transfer from a ready made watercolor kit, and two larger squares as well. It has useful brush storage, divots to lightly hold steady your go to brushes of the moment, and holes to hold steady the handles of brushes you will use later. It even has a magnetic collapsible silicone water pot and sponge. Other than an included rule system on the side and the wide blank expanse of silicone work space, those are its features. But that's the beauty of it. It has a good number of features, but not too many to devalue it as a whole. You paint things on top of it, and it cleans ups well because its silicone. You can roll it into a cylinder because it has no raised edges and the water cup can be removed. Acrylic peels right off, water color is washed off easily. Take care with letting stronger mediums like oils, sealants, finishes varnishes etc sit on it, I do not know how silicone will fare with harsh chemicals like those and I do not wish to find out yet.The price point is fair, could be 10-15 dollars instead of 20, but it is still a fair price for the quality you get.Summarily, it works well and I have no feasible complaints.

Good quality mat. Using it for beading
I bought the mat to use as bead-mat. It's a great size, I like the white as background.
