I bought this grip in conjunction with some other products from eXtremeRate to overhaul the look of my ps4 controller. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about going from the "stock" untextured, smooth grip to the textured grip, I really just got it for the look of it. But after playing with this cool backplate for over a month now, I must say I really enjoy the grippy-ness of it! It's not TOO much, but just enough. The install was very simple, and I had no issues with alignment or fit. My controller model number is CUH-ZCT2U.

The texturing was not some spray on sticky stuff guaranteed to wear off. The texture is molded into the plastic shell. Provides a very good grip.

I got the red/black grip back shell and it lines up nicely and it feels great and give a nice new look. they have the newer clips that are easier to take apart. I also got the red chrome buttons be aware the touch pad no longer has a light bar

Changed this along with installing aluminum buttons and thumbsticks. Didn't seem to be warped like some injection molds can be due to uneven cooling(I deal with cast foam at work, seem it get bad). For a good install, remember first to reattach the light bar's ribbon cable, then work it back on in reverse of how you got the first one off, making sure it all clicks back in to place. Then replace all screws loosely, reinspect for proper closure, then finish tightening screws. Did not come with light bar lens, so you are going to need that when you transfer the light bar. Again when placing the lens loose screw, make sure lens is secure on its pin(you'll know it when you have to gently pry it off the one in the old case), then fully tighten. The grip feels good, solid, not tacky. My only issue was with the trigger buttons sticking occasionally when pressed for about the first week. This could have been a tolerance issue with the case and my aluminum aftermarket triggers, or a genuine tolerance issue with just the case itself. Your results may vary.

I love this product definitely would buy again! Once you watch the video it was easy to take out everything and put everything together. Before I bought this product, I was checking the reviews about this product and I seen some bad reviews but honestly, don’t listen to the bad reviews. This makes my hands not slip when I’m hard gaming on call of duty and Fortnite. I have this for a couple weeks now and it still feels amazing in my hands so definitely would recommend!

It wasn't too hard to put on, just had a bit of trouble getting my stock shell off at first. Took me about 5 mins to get it all together and it thankfully worked fine. Was my first time doing this to a dualshock 4 as well. So the cover itself looks a bit ugly, the texture is pretty gross to be honest lol, but it feels great and that's all I cared about. I'm a satisfied customer. I just wish there was a soft rubber texture like the Xbox One Elite controller has for the dualshock 4.

This didn't fit my controller. Apparently I have the new generation of ps4 controller with the light bar and the internal configuration doesn't fit unless you actually drill holes through the plastic shell. I'm sure I'm outside of some kind of return period now though. Will not buy again, the textured finish was much less grippy than the pictures make it look and the little bumps that are supposed to add grip are super small compared to the picture and the plastic feels cheap. Like it would be easy to accidentally break it by simply dropping it from a few inches on a hard surface.

I bought this along with a front panel as my dog chewed on my original one. Still trying to see if it will work with another 3d party front panel. Seems to be giving me some functionality issues but it’s 2 different design n company. Worked great for a month then some buttons weren’t working. I’ll have to take it all apart and re assemble it again and see if that helps if not I’ll be back to edit this posting

Fits and feels great. Use the original screws from your controller if you can. If you can’t, make sure to screw the screws into the holes a few times before you put the controller together as there are no threads in it already n you don’t want to strip a screw once it’s together. Also there are multiple versions of controller, make sure to get the proper back to fit your controller

Was constantly losing pistol battle to P.C players but after installing the hair triggers.....I’ve definitely gained an edge. And the textured back is comfortable and helpful for long sessions. It was fairly easy to install I actually enjoyed doing it, I felt like a mad scientist 👍

Installing this was pretty simple just watch a youtube video the extra bit of grip at the back really does make a difference and stops your hands for sweating as much.
