We have a stove that has a cast iron grill top on it. After cooking some chicken on it, I thought it may never be clean again. I was hoping this brush would be my solution. It did help, but the battle for a clean cast iron grill continues. The bush has stiff bristles, but seem like they are plastic and still flex. I think I would need something even stiffer to really get that baked on food off the grill rack. It is a good brush, just not my solution. However, it did work really well on a panini press we have. Give it a try. Good for many jobs, but no the toughest baked on food.

The OXO Good Grips Cast Iron Brush works exactly as advertised. It makes cleaning all my cast iron pans much less of a hassle and feels sturdy and well-made. A simple, effective tool that does its job reliably.

Love this tool to clean my cast iron pans. It works very well on burnt on foods. It keeps me from wasting a scrub pad.

The bristles are nylon plastic. Thought they would be steel. I’ve used it a couple of times, not for my cast iron as I wash it heated, and brush bristles would melt. IMO, It’s a good brush, just not for cast iron the way I wash it.

I avoided cleaning my cast iron with brushes like these because I was under the assumption it would remove the non stick coating I had built up. Not so. It's great to use when the pan has a few stuck areas. To be honest, since I started cleaning with this brush those problems have lessened.

Cleans really well with a Staub cast iron grilling pan, just the right stiffness of bristles, solid and easy to wield like all OXO Good Grips tools. Recommended addition to your kitchen drawer

If you own a cast iron or a carbon Steele pan then this little brush is your best friend. The longevity of this brush is quite impressive too, it goes hard on the dirt without scratching the surface or fully removing the pan seasoning.

When I ordered this I thought that the bristles were steel, but they are regular brush material. However, it works phenomenally great. It lifts all the bits nicely. To me it's perfect. It's a short handle brush, so storage is no issue.

We use this every day. It doesn't scratch the cast iron.
