No proofreading on text and written in BROKEN ENGLISH
I haven't gotten too deep into the book yet but by reading the first few pages you can tell that no native english speaking person took a look at it before it was released. Makes you think about the validity of the technical content. Here's an example of the language used in the table of contents."Chapter 7 explains what is the Jakarta Messaging and what are its aims. Besides that, throughout this chapter, we'll show you how we can create a Queue, how we can create a Topic, how we can create a producer and consumer, and finally, we will show how we can implement a Message-Driven Bean."

Lack of depth. Lots of source code to get you started.
There are many aspects not great with this book :1. Lack of depth in subject matter.2. Promise of "Cloud native" on cover, so was expecting something on AWS or other but not a word3. Lots of source code which is good but not very well formatted in places and no need for so many import statements sometimes taking up three quarters of a page, bulking this book up.4. Grammar in some parts was not great, I ended up reading over and over again trying to understand what the author was saying.5. Typos were pretty bad. - There is no way this has been proof read.6. Quality of book not great, printed on demand I think. Photocopier style pages and bendable cover. Much like Packt. This is the second and last book I've purchased from this publisher and am not impressed tbh.If you can look past all of this, you will get something from the book but be prepared that it's not much more than an overview with code snippets. Having said this the code alone will get you up and running but you will need to go elsewhere for a more comprehensive view.
