Fits well on 51 plate V40 fob. Ours was a bit cracked and needed a new case.You need to use a coin or similar to open up the old case, carefully lift out the control board/battery and then pop it into the new case.It's a 5 minute job and unless you have unsteady hands most people could do it in their kitchen with ease.It's clear it isn't an OEM product, the quality of the moulding isn't as good, but to be honest, this generation of fobs are starting to get a bit old, and really nobody but you will notice the difference.

I have a 2000 V70.The plastic used on this identical-looking replacement fob seems to be not quite as strong as the original, but swapping the internals from the broken fob was easy (only took a minute, no tools required), and it works perfectly.

Easy to fit existing internal remote control parts into the new shell. Only needed the 2 button so simply permanently superglued the large button with car symbol in situ. No problem. Works fine.

Excellent replacement for fobs of my C70 and they now work far better than they have done for a long while. However the fob is advertised to replace the fob on the V40 but on my V40 the key and the fob are all in one unit and this replacement is nothing like the original. If the supplier actually makes the correct fob for the V40 I would certainly buy replacements for my keys.

Unlock button is a little temperamental, but it is better than the old one
